hello all,
I have a quick question regarding halloween at DL, so we are wondering if we should buy for the trick or treat party? it is gonna be 6 adults, is it worth buying tickets or is there something else we adults could do other than that? we are going oct 2-5.

The only night it will be offered during your trip is Friday, October 2, and since that's a Friday night, Disneyland will be open until midnight, so you could always just go to Disneyland - which won't require separate admission like the Trick or Treat Party does, assuming that you have a parkhopper ticket.

yea we r gonna be having a park hopper so on that day could we still go to California adventures that day? or do u need a seperate ticket cause of the trick or treat party

You can use your regular park hopper until 6 p.m. that day at DCA. The park will close at 6 to get ready for the halloween party at 7:30. (7:30-11:30). You will need a separate ticket to attend the party. Fridays usually sell out first, so if you are planning on going, I'd get my tickets as soon as they were available to me. Right now, annual passholders as well as Disney Visa cardholders can buy them. They will be released for sale to the general public in August.

There are only a few rides that are open during the Mickeys not so scary party. Even though we totally enjoy it with our kids, we all dress up, if it were just adults I think that we would pass it. The only extra ticket that you would need is to attend the party, i think this year they are around $42, your park hopper will work prior to the party for DCA. Perhaps just spend the day in DCA and the rest of the time at Disneyland. We find that at that time of year the rides are just about walk on with only around 10-15 minutes wait times...have fun!

Tickets for the general public (non AP holders) are $32 for all nights (if purchased ahead of time), except the last 2 nights..... The day before Halloween and Halloween day. Those are $42 when purchased at any time.

Did you attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (as you reference above) or Mickey's Trick or Treat (which the OP is asking about)?

Mickey NSSHP is at WDW. Mickey's ToT is a Disney's California Adventure.

We went to Mickey's ToT a couple of years ago. 3 adults, 2 kids. We had a great time. We all dressed up. There were characters (in their Halloween costumes) everywhere to take photos with. Most rides in DCA were operating, although the shows were not. We were able to play the boardwalk games (for candy, not prizes). There were many Trick or Treat stations throughout the Park where we were able to get more candy than we possibly knew what to do with. They also offered carrots and/or sliced apples (packaged, of course) as an alternative to candy if you so chose. At the end of the night there was a character "parade."

If I had children, I would do it again. Without children, I loved doing it once. It was a fun event.

We have done it every year (we don't have kids) and have enjoyed it - it's fun to dress up in costume, and it's fun to trick or treat! :) I do wish they would do more in the way of a character parade or something, though. Maybe next year they will do a special showing of World of Color, though. I can always dream, right? :)

I'm trying to talk DH into an October trip and would love to attended the ToT party. We're not AP holders (yet) but do have the Disney Visa...how do I go about purchasing the tickets now? And finding out when they are holding the event? I'm tentatively thinking about Oct 21st - 24th. Thanks!

During your dates, there will be 3 parties: Wed., Thurs., and Friday, the 21st, 22nd and 23rd. The hours are 6:30-10:30. We are going on the 21st and I just got my tickets today! You'll have to call Disney ticketing since you can't order off the AP site. I don't have the phone number right now, but hopefully you can find it easily. Let us know how it goes and what date you will be going.

:)The information about the parties from the AP site is posted on a thread called "October check in - Halloween and More" (see page 4 of that thread). All the dates are listed on there. (I've "bumped" the thread to this page so that you can easily find it. Hope this helps. :-)

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! :thumbsup2
You're welcome! :) I hope you can convince your DH to go. This will be our first time attending the Halloween Party and I'm so excited since I just got my tickets today! Now.......onto ideas for costumes! :)

We had a blast and we had no kids with us and I would do it again!
