I had heard about a certain activity that includes dressing up in costume and getting candy? I can't remember where it is at but I heard that it was and additional cost to attend? Mickey's Haunted Halloween?? I can't remember for sure!

A WDW it's Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (known around these parts as MNSSHP), It's only on certain nights. It is from 7- midnight and its around $35 if you buy your tickets in advance they go up 5 or 6 bucks at the gate. Lot's of people dress up, some don't there is definitely trick or treating and is MY FAVORITE!!

If you're looking for other halloween activities you might call the front desk at the resort your staying at (some don't have anything going on) or ft. wilderness( they usually do) and asking what activities are going on. Also they do trick or treating in DTD too.

What else does the not so scary party include besides trick or treating?

Well, there's a special "Boo To You" Parade. It always starts w/ the headless horseman riding down mainstreet- AWESOME!! and a special Disney Villains show in front of the castle. Fireworks. The characters are all in costumes. Most of the rides are still open. They have stations set up for the kids to make masks and there is a dance party at a pavillion in tomorrow land every hour on the hour. You'll get a map to all of the treat spots and special events w/ parade and show times plus an orange trick or treat bag for everyone.
I don't EVER watch the shows or parades... Not on a normal day or MNSSHP, I'd rather take advantage of the shorter lines. So I hadn't thought to mention them.
