Halloween 2011. Oct 29th on the Magic

hey everyone...kids and I are going down south to a couple zoos!! hopefully everything turns out great...

Have fun at the zoo's....

Gail: thats what is on my agenda today, altho I have to work till noon tomorrow....

We just got home from Wally's "surgery"...we waited longer that it took to do the surgery...We sat in the waiting room for about 25 minutes...then they took him back another 20-25 for me in the waiting room, then I got called back to sit and wait with him in the holding area...1 hour in that room..the surgery took all of 15 minutes..really no recovery times since it was a local and we were out of there maybe 20 minutes after his surgery....Oh well...

have a good day,

Good morning! Pretty early here but those dang dogs - first they had to go out, then they wanted breakfast and then they went back to bed but I can't seem to do that so I guess I am up for the day. Once I get through this cup of coffee, I think I will do some of the things I thought I might do last night. Plus there is the ever present dirty laundry - dang. But, I did sleep in my own bed last night!!

Have a great day everyone, I will check back later.

Gail, glad you got to sleep in your own bed last night, and thoes dogs, Jack is good for doing that.....he wakes me up, then I'm wide awake and cant go back to sleep yet he is just snoring away.....

oh well.....

at work today and computer system is down.....but its a quiet day....Just 1.5 left and I'm outta here....

have a good one

Free dining - anyone I know??? Way to go!

Quiet afternoon - even managed a cat nap (difficult with 3 dogs). Last load of laundry is in the washer and will get that finished and put away before dinner. Made BLT for lunch with a tomato from the farmers market - thought I had died and gone to heaven. It was SO good.

I thought I knew what I was going to do for FE's but I am reconsidering. We (and you) shall see.

Take care and ENJOY!

Evening all:

Wow this weekend has flown by....

I was watching the Dream sail away on the port canaveral cam.....very cool....you could see the people up on the top deck and seen them in the Aquaduck.....wishing I was on there....

Another week closer and as of tomorrow we are down to 67 days:dance3::yay::woohoo::banana:

well have a good evening

Well, it is my favorite day of the week again! Oh happy day! DH and I will be single digits (for the week count anyway) tomorrow. Creeping up quickly. And, in some respects, not quite quick enough.

Nothing else new to report though. Seriously reconsidering our Rays, Reef and Rum Point tour in Grand Cayman - we chould just have a pool day right up on deck 9. I suppose we will need to tender in and wonder around the port some but we shall see how it all goes.

Take care and enjoy your day!

Just finished making our countdown chain with Liam (ds). We planned to start it at 60days, but we couldn't wait! :goodvibes
Ryan started first grade today...can't believe summer is over! But that just means we are closer to cruising.
Just curious, have some of you cruised together before???

hey everyone!!!

my kids and I went to miami...the drive down was horrible..but adventurous. it took us about 6 1/2 hrs....now in my motorcycle riding days...I remember that trip being 4hrs :)

the issue was I left at 6pm friday...so we were on alligator alley in the night time...

Saturday we started late because of the thunderstorms but managed to get to the Miami Zoo around noon..the zoo was empty! we had a great time and had wished I went to the zoo even in the thunderstorms because there was cool exhibits enclosed..but oh well maybe next year.

Sunday we went to Lion Country Safari..now that was cool!!!! again we started late so I wish I would've gotten there around 10am..that would've given us time to make two loops arouind the safari and do the rides and games.

The drive home yesterday was fun to start with but got scary around 9pm...I took 60w (no exits no nothing, florida panther crossings, for about 40miles)...i was praying so hard..like am I crazy...:scared1: I couldn't believe that road was that isolated...never again..not even in the daylight...once I got to Lake Wales I was able to breathe..my kids did fine in the car!! we got home around 11pm..but didn't go to bed till 1:30am...I am exhausted today...:surfweb: need coffee but don't feel like going to get any...

We cruised with this crazy couple that we now consider friends :)

9 WEEKS :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Good morning and happy Tuesday! To answer Kamgen;s question, no, I have not sailed or met anyone in our group but Denise and I think maybe acourtwdw and I have a mutual friend - JanDave. LOVE them. I knew when Denise posted her group picture that Jan and Dave were in it as well - found them first actually. And Denise was right next to them!

Marisol - we drove alligator ally last year and desolate is an understatement! They should post more signs about being sure your gas tank was full. At least it was daylight for us but I bet you were driving in the dark.

Nothing else to report. Loving our weather of late - but fall is in the air.

Take care everyone and have a grand day!

hey everyone....i have to really start on my FES and Magnets...I'm sooooo slackin lately...I really need to get on the ball here...I found my magnets from last year...they are still in good condition...but I have about 50 I have to print out for this year :)

I cheat - I just go to the party store where they sell the paper decorations, attach magnets to those and use them. Much less expensive than the printer cartiridges and magnetic paper. And, if they disappear, I don't feel too bad about it.

I wish I can just print out two or three..but Miguel likes looking at the magnets...i do it for the kids :rolleyes1

Afternoon all:

Crazy day here.....my son was in New Orleans for a business trip, had to run to Ohare airport to pick him up this afternoon....so I tried to gage time wise, leaving work and the drive time, but I guess I miss calculated and ended up getting there way to early...his flight was to land at 1:25, as I am getting to the Ohare Oasis, which is about 3 miles from the airport, I notice that its only 17 minutes after...hmmmm better pull off and wait....so I am sitting at the oasis until 2:10...by the time the plane landed and he was able to get his luggage, crazy.....I prefer Midway airport sooo much better.....anywho.....that was my crazy afternoon....

Nothing much going on here.

Hi:

I'm Tim and my wife is Tracey. We're new here, so please bear with us.

We're booked on the 10/29/2011 Disney Magic Western Caribbean cruise. It isn't our first Disney trip, we're experienced WDW park guests, but it is our first cruise.

We were booked on the Wonder last October, but we had to cancel the day before sailing (long story, bottom line: get the travel insurance).

We're celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, which was in July and Tracey's appropriately aged divisible by five birthday, which was in February.

So, what should we do to maximize our cruise experience?

Timmer

:wizard:Welcome to the group Timmer!!!:wizard:

So happy you are joining us! We have a lot of information on this thread, so read through if you would like to. I'm Kamy (kamgen) and my DH and I are sailing with our two boys ages 6 and 4 and my mom (cricketmom). This will be my 11th cruise with DCL, so whatever questions you have, let me, or anyone else here, know. We are a great group!:goodvibes

Some things I consider "must-do" (but others may not agree):
1. Brunch at Palo (my fave meal on ANY cruise)
2. Dinner at Palo (the most romantic meal onboard, and is more relaxing than the main dining rooms)
3. Vista Spa (dh and I love to do the exotic rasul together, as well as spend time in the Rainforest room)
4. Coffee drinks in the Cove Cafe (DH swears by the frozen mochas!)

Other tips I like to include: take at least one day to sleep later than normal, one day to stay up later than normal, and try at least one thing new! :cloud9:
