I was just curious. I don't really care for plastic ornaments, but they have some really cute ones this year. There's several Disney one including a Steamboat Willie with sound and motion. Might HAVE to get that one.

I've always liked Hallmark ornaments and like to check out the new ones, especially Disney, of course.

I'm one of the crazy people who gets excited about Xmas ornaments is July! :D My grandma bought me a Frosty Friends ornament in 1980 and I have continued on with the whole series. They almost take up my whole tree. I usually buy about 4 Hallmark ornaments a year.

I have almost all the Disney Hallmark ornaments, plenty of the other's also. Not really sure how many but I do display many of them all the time not just at xmas. I always have preferred member status since I buy so many every year.

I'll be at the premiere, if you buy 3 Disney ornaments they are giving away a Disney CD. I'll have to pick at least 3.

You can also go to www.hallmark.com to see the new ornaments. There are also Disney in the Miniature Ornaments section. Ring-a-ling Pals Winnie the Pooh Collection
& Tinkerbell.

Also most stores have drawings and other prizes today. :)

So people DO care! Our store opened at 8 and served bagels and donuts.

i love getting the gone with the wind related ones!! i didn't buy the scarlett from last year though. i thought she was ugly...but i know that there are supposed to be 2 new ones this year. one is supposed to be released today and the other will come out later. i can't wait!! and there may be a few of the disney ones to invest in this time too...DH loves steamboat willie!

Just back from Hallmark..I put my "wish list" in back in April..they had my bag ready to go..the Disney ones are so cute this year..especially the Steamboat Willie one..got that for hubby for Xmas..also picked up all the Winnie the Pooh ones, got the free Disney cd..and also a free "jingle snowman" ornament..they had all types to choose from!..$200 worth of ornaments later, I think that should just about do it for Hallmark and me this year!

I love Halmark ornaments too but I am one of the cheapies! I wait till after the holidays.( love the thrill of Dec 26th!) Then I enjoy the search to see if I can find the ones I wanted!
I just bought about 3 weeks ago the Wizard of OZ ornament for 75% off!

I'm back. I try to be good and only buy the ones I really have to have. I wait until the sales to get the rest.

I bought:

Steamboat Willie - Really a neat ornament, Mickey moves and it plays music.

I like them too! I buy the ones I cant take a chance on not getting as soon as I see them. Others that I like but dont "have" to have that minute I wait til after Christmas and get them on sale.
I do like the Disney ones and the Snow buddies (snowmen) ones.

I also collect the Frosty Friends Series. I've started in 1980 collecting them, but am sorry to say that I am missing 2. It is definitely neat to look at our Christmas tree each year and see the many different ornaments all with the same character!:D

I used to love their ornaments. I'd buy some before Christmas & then go out the day after & spend all my gift $$ - usually about $50.

Over the past 3 - 5 years maybe, they've gotten bigger. I always have a real tree & can never find enough thick branches for the larger ornaments. It's hard to find ones I like now that are small enough for my tree...other than the miniatures.

I also hate the way they've made them so hard to get. Around here there have been ornaments that were only available for 1-2weeks after release. I HATE that type of marketing!

My mom and I went today. I bought the Harley Davidson motorcycle #5 in the series for my hubby, the new home one for my sister, the my family for myself, and the miniature Tinkerbell for my daughter. Those miniatures are cute. I might have to get a small artificial tree and start a Disney tree.

My mom always buys more than me. She buys for me, my sister, our kids, her brother and a couple nieces and nephews. She bought Snoopy for my series, Mischievious Kittens for my sister, the baseball player series ornament for my son and my sister's son, Frosty Friends series for her brother, the 2003 (in clear letters) series (forget what it is called and Tigger playing soccer for my daughter. She has a couple of more to buy but has to wait until October for them to come out.

Hallmark ornaments really make good gifts for people your not quite sure on what to get especially the specialty ones like, new home, baby's first Christmas, etc.

aspiring cindy -- my mom has been collecting the frosty friends series since 1980 too. :) i think they're so cute.

BIG COLLECTORS HERE!
We have been collecting since 1975. I would guessamate we have over 2,000 ornaments now. We have the complete Tin Train series, Here Comes Santa series, Cris Mouse series, and my favorite Mary's Angels (angels on a cloud) just to name a few. We have several of the Disney ornaments but only the ones we really like. There is no way we could display them all at once. Found some in a newspaper ad......a lady was changing to Jehovah's Witness and sold us her whole collection. I've even picked up a few at yard sales....one in particular is from 1975, a nostalgic train ornament. I paid a dime for it! DH really likes the firetruck this year. I want Steamboat Willie for sure. I have started to decorate our tree by theme now. One year all angels, one year all Disney, last year we had a "transportation" tree. All the cars, trucks, trains, spaceships etc. Love the Hallmarks! Besides Hallmark ornaments I have been collecting Radko Disney ornaments. Not sure how many I have now but I think there are about 150. My favorite of those is Ariel of course.

I got mine! Used $40 of Gold Crown coupons. I save all the ones within the expiration date of the ornament event. Got the Disney CD, a free ornament, free candles, and a gift certificate from my Hallmark store for 10% of my ornament purchase! The Disney ornaments are adorable! Can't wait to see the Nemo one but it won't be in until October. Had to add to my Grinch collection too. I also give each of my 2 nieces and 2 nephews a special ornament every year. My 15 year old nephew says it is one of his favorite presents!

One idea I learned at one of the ornament events a few years ago - If you have an arch way or any open path between rooms, hang greenery around the doorway, and then hang ornaments on it. I saw their picture where there were hundreds of Hallmark ornaments and it was gorgeous. They said they just leave the boxes of ornaments by the doorway and every time someone passed through they had to hang an ornament. It took a week or so for all of them to be hung.

I also collect the Frosty Friends series. We started in 1980 too. I love Hallmark ornaments. Each one has a special memory attached for me. DS will be getting married next year so I can get him Our First Christmas Together ornament. I always look forward to July so I can see what ornaments will be gracing my tree.

I started doing this with a "fake" garland because of the weight problem on the real tree. It works great! We put the orna-motors on there, too. In fact, I now have 2 garlands in the doorway - one in the living room & one in the dining room. We also string mini lights & some tinsel garland through them.

Our tree is about 90% Disney. We've been buying ornaments since 1974 when we got married. We need to stop buying ornaments, but Steamboat Willie looks so cool.
