Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

I just Googled Christmas Getaway and discovered this free version of it that I will check out tonight. Thanks, Imzadi. I've been enjoying a lot of movies on Pure Flix. I wish the site would update with some new movies. Also do any of you use Pure Flix? If so, when you click on the heart symbol beside a movie title and it turns blue, does your selection save as it is supposed to in your saved movie list? Mine don't. Minor thing :)

I've never heard of Pure Flix before. Turns out it's been acquired by the Great American Family company. :thumbsup2

I watched and overall enjoyed An Ice Palace Christmas last night. I would have enjoyed seeing a little more of Greenhill. I do realize tbe story was centered at the rink. I thought young Zoe did a great job. It was a bit odd to me that we never saw her with her grandparents just heard about them. Sounded like they were close and to her dad, their son.

I also would have preferred faith in the movie. I was rooting for some type of new Snowball Dance or Festival that included all ages so families could come. The Ice Palace was said to be a place where community and families came together yet that was lacking to me in being shown.

I also watched for a second time Love on Harbor Island. Beautiful scenery. I loved Pilots for Pups Rescue. In the back of my mind, I may be thinking of another dog movie or missed the scene in this one, that near the end the male lead surprises his love interest with the puppy she fell in love with. Did I make this up? Thanks, everyone.

Have a good night friends :)

I did watch Christmas Getaway last night and really loved the cabin setting. I would enjoy experiencing a true white Christmas once from the warmth and safety of a cabin or better Hallmark movie family Inn--this was close. My own grandparents were very special to me, so I always love a positive grandparent in a movie which Marilyn, Scott's (main actor's mom) sure was a wonderful grandma to Katy. I hope each of you had enjoyed a merry movie this weekend.

Another movie that is similar to A World Record Christmas is Searching For Bobby Fischer. It's a real oldie, came out in 1993. It's also based on real life events. It's about a very sweet, young boy who loves to play chess in the park against the adults, and turns out to have the makings of what could be a prodigy chess player. His father enters him into the national chess championship. But, what will it take to turn him into a cutthroat winner? It stars Joe Mantegna, Ben Kingsley, Joan Allen, Max Pomerance, and Laurence Fishburne.

I saw it again last week on some free streaming channel. So, it's out there somewhere.

I remember watching Searching for Bobby Fischer, Imzadi! Wow that was years ago! I also enjoyed it especially when the dad finally got what his son needed was him and unconditional love!

I've been watching more Christmas movies. I saw last night Once Upon a Christmas Miracle which is based on a true story. It was very touching to see the real-life couple, Chris and Heather Dempsey at the end. I wish they had had a cameo in the movie itself. The one thing that jumped out at me was when Chris joins Heather's family for Christmas dinner at the end of the movie, I had hoped he would have gone to get his mom so she could have joined them. I do understand it was spur of the moment in a way. I also re-watched and really liked Christmas in Montana. I do wish faith were part of more Hallmark movies but am grateful for the movies that it is active in.

You may like Brigham Young University's free streaming network. BYU is a private research university in Provo, Utah, based on the Mormon faith, so their network focuses on showing family friendly shows & movies and more faith based stuff without being preachy. It's online and they have an app.

I watched “A Very Vermont Christmas.” It was fine to me. Not a standout, but fine for Christmas in July.

I still have quite a few from last year to watch for the first time. 🎄

That can be a mixed blessing — sometimes with too many movies the quality takes a dip 🤣

I do too! I only watched A Biltmore Christmas for the first time a couple weeks ago. I forgot that my Christmas viewing energy had petered out last January before getting to it and a couple other movies that are supposed to be good.
