Description: On the surface, Alicia (Alvina August) and Arnold’s (Jarod Joseph) marriage is picture perfect, however, there is something amiss. Arnold is ready to grow their family, but subconsciously Alicia is hesitant. As I'm not particularly fond of either of the actors (didn't really like either of them back in their ER days, and didn't like Ruben in Every Day is Christmas a few years back), it doesn't bother me that I'll be on a plane flying to the Netherlands tomorrow night.

Ooo! Is this for a vacation in the Netherlands? 😍

Yes, it's a river cruise to see the tulips in Netherlands/Belgium. Originally booked for March 2020. Moved to April 2021. It looks like we're finally going to make it this year. At least the company is still in business, and they've had our money for almost 4 years.

He looks so different without his dark mustache.

Gloria Reuben was also in 2-3 "Jesse Stone" movies with Tom Selleck.

I liked the first few Jesse Stone movies. After a while, the movies got progressively dark and depressing. Even some of the main actors started jumping ship. Yet, the first few movies were good.

Saturday: Feeling Butterflies on March 12 on the Hallmark Channel at 8pm ET
Starring Kayla Wallace and Kevin McGarry.

Description: Kayla plays a butterfly expert. She runs Butterflies Inc., a business that releases butterflies at weddings and other special events. She meets Garrett Thorson (McGarry), a single dad who hires her for his daughter Amanda’s birthday.

:teacher: Fun trivia: Kayla and Kevin appear together on When Calls the Heart AND they’re also a couple in real life. The two have been dating since 2020, according to a report from ET.
Their romance appears to still be going strong. On Valentine’s Day 2022, Wallace shared a video of herself singing on Instagram that ended with McGarry giving her a kiss. In December, she took to social media to share of photo of herself and McGarry on vacation in Mexico.

Feeling Butterflies, nope, wasn't feeling it. Not about the butterflies, and not for the couple, which was strange as they are supposed to be a couple in real life.

Maybe it was me though. I don't care for bugs err, pretty moths, err butterflies. And for someone to be actually growing a lot of them for a business, not my thing.
:crazy2:
And who knew there could be rival butterfly companies working the same area? Are butterflies freed at events really big thing?

As for the couple, I don't think the female lead is that good of an actress. She seemed to be reciting memorized lines at times with not a lot of emotion. Maybe the couple is uncomfortable about exposing their real feelings for each other to the public, or the male lead, Kevin McGarry kind of could tell she was kind of flat acting-wise, and he toned his acting down to match hers.
:confused3

There are two other movies he's in where I feel he had much more chemistry with the lead actresses, whom he wasn't involved with. I recommend those over watching this movie. One was with Jen Lilly, where they play novelists on a book tour together, called Winter Love Story. And my favorite that he's in A Song for Christmas with Becca Tobin, where she's playing a pop singer, whose star is on the rise, but not in a direction she likes. So, she's hiding out at his family's Christmas tree farm.

Also there's a third one that Kevin was in with Erin Cahill. It is Random Acts of Christmas. It was on Lifetime a few years ago. One of their better movies.

I absolutely loved Just One Kiss. This is the best one Hallmark has put out in a long time. A bit off the normal formula but I don't want to give away the spoilers to those who may not have yet watched. Of course the silly misunderstanding but it didn't drag out too long which I appreciated. The surprise at the end actually did surprise me because I didn't see it coming. I will likely even rewatch it later today when they show it before When Calls the Heart.

And enjoying it. Anyone else?

I watched it! I liked that it was a bit different from the usual formula. And the couple was very cute.

Oh good! I realized that other than The Wedding Veil movies, I haven't liked the last ones that I saw. I admit, I'm a bit wary now of watching a Hallmark movie that has totally unknown actors for the leads and they fill in the supporting characters with (older) well known actors who can't get much work elsewhere, and are banking on their names to bring in viewers. I'm kind of waiting to see what other people, who've seen the movie think and how they are rating the movie before I see it. I'll put this one on my watch list now.

Reminder for tonight!

Always Amore is on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries at 9pm ET.
Starring: Autumn Reeser and Tyler Hynes.

Description: This follows Elizabeth who is forced to work with Ben, a pro restaurant consultant, to keep her late husband's Italian restaurant afloat, but as they get closer, she realizes that not all change is bad and might even open her heart to new love.

Chef Giada De Laurentiis executive produced the movie. Her grandfather, Dino De Laurentiis is a famed producer in Hollywood. A total of 38 of his films were nominated for Academy Awards.

Giada said, “My family has a deep history in cinema and Italian culture. It has been a dream of mine to take my love of film and food to Executive Produce a Hallmark movie that authentically honors my amazing Italian heritage.”

Many of the characters were inspired by the chef's own loved ones. "The Nonna has a lot of my Aunt Raffy's characteristics," she says. "Since my grandfather passed, she's the one that still holds everybody together and tells us the stories and all that kind of stuff."

"I think there are little bits of each one of my family members in each one of the characters," she adds. "The chef has a lot of my grandfather in him in the way that they're so afraid to change things, that it's so hard to grow, but then yet they do."

I forgot to set Just One Kiss last night. I just looked up airtimes and set up the DVR for next Sunday at noon. So glad many of you have already enjoyed this movie :)

I agree, I was so surprised they didn't seem to have any chemistry...and I gather she's his partner on When Calls the Heart, so they should be used to acting together...I don't know what to say. The answer might be she just isn't that good. :/

Wow! WOW! I loved Just One Kiss. I'm so glad all of you recommended it and I put it on my watch list because of that. Seriously, I was getting rather disappointed and disgruntled at some of the Hallmark movies that they've put out lately. But this one, they definitely hit out of the park.
:thumbsup2

I was only loosely watching while multitasking. But, when the male lead sang for the third time and incredibly, I realized this is not an ordinary Hallmark movie. I even thought, "I wonder if he's. . ." <Googled> "Yep! He's a Broadway actor." In fact, Santino Fontana is a Tony award winning actor. He won the Tony for Tootsie, playing Michael Dorsey/Dorothy, Dustin Hoffman's role in the movie. And he was also nominated for Cinderella. While I heard how fantastic he was in Tootsie and was a shoo in to win the Tony, I hadn't really heard his name or had seen him in anything else, so he wasn't familiar to me.

The female lead, Krysta Rodriguez, has also done some Broadway.

The script is really great writing. ALL the characters, even the supporting roles, were well cast. And the twist is unexpected. I even like how the leads mentioned they had, what is called the "classic misunderstanding," and as @disney4us2002 said they got through it quickly.
:thumbsup2

While it's not a normal Hallmark movie, I hope this new "formula" is one they repeat. For those wondering, no, it's not a musical. Just has a lot of music in it due to the male lead singing at an upscale piano bar. I hope Hallmark is looking for a new movie for Aaron Tveit. (He played a prince, snowed in at an inn, in a Christmas movie a couple years ago.) That he will come back and make another Hallmark movie after he finishes his run as Christian in Moulin Rouge. And this time, they actually have him sing. I get they would have to pay him a LOT more. Yet, if that means watching more reruns on a couple Saturday nights instead of a new one, to pay for his salary, I'm all for it.

I am going to watch this movie again. popcorn::

If you missed it, the Hallmark Channel is re-airing it:
Tonight, Apr 7 at 8pm ET
Sun, Apr 10 at 12pm ET
Sat Apr 16 at 4pm ET
