Okay...so as any regular knows, HHN always features one horror film that Universal made and makes a haunted house out ofit. Last year was Doomsday, and the year before Dead Silence. Needless to say the movies havent been all that popular...until now. Drag Me to Hell comes out on Friday and I thought that this would most assuredly make it into the Universal house this year. Why? Just look at this... http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/drag_me_to_hell/

It is a critically accalimed hit and famed horror director Sam Raimi (who also made spiderman) is directing it! I guarantee you 100% this will be a house...unless they decide to make a Wolfman house to promote the movie before its debut in November. :woohoo:

Highly doubtful...HHN is planned a year in advance so this movie wasn't around then.

The Saw movie franchise is expected to be apart of this year's HHN event. Whether it will just be a house or the HHN theme this year, remains to be seen.

Where do they the movies? Are you meaning as you do the walk thru the ride, it's playing?

I'm confused. I've only done Universal once before so I'm clueless...

Sometimes a house at HHN is themed after a movie...they don't show an actual movie.

In October, Universal Studios closes early on the weekends and couple more nights during each week, and reopens a couple hours later for Halloween Horror Nights (HHN). This event is a hard ticket event meaning that you need a HHN ticket to enter, the regular day pass will not get you entrance to HHN.

At HHN, they will have have several haunted houses and scare zones. Some of the haunted houses are based upon horror/sci-fi movies.

I doubt seriously Saw will be the theme this year but definately one house will be themed after the series. I'm curious if Universal will bring out a new icon for this year or use one of the older ones. We'll find out soon enough.

I agree, Saw won't be the theme ... a house yes, but not the entire theme. As well, we need to remember everything is just rumor right now, we'll know fairly soon what Universal has in store for us this year. And yes, Metro, you are right, they usually have the majority of their ideas in place up to a year in advance.

There is a Saw ride at Thorpe Park in the UK (http://hauntedattractions.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=476&Itemid=34) - which by the way is where it was "leaked" that there would be a Saw house at HHN.

It is possible that although there will only be one house dedicated to Saw, Jigsaw could be this year's icon. Much like last year when Bloody Mary had one dedicated house while being the icon. But as Bonnie said, this is all speculation!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

the day after each HHN season ends, planning starts the next day for the following year's HHN.

no way do they wait until each year's hard ticket event to start the planning.

Doesn't Universal have a new Wolf Man coming out this year? Or is it next year? Either way, I'm sure this would be a good bet for a themed huse whenever it does come out.

There must be some news soon on this year's HHN, isn't it normally early June time?

I'm pretty sure Universal know what movies are going to be made at least a year in advance!!
Really...I don't doubt that fact but I hardly think the Universal creative team responsible for HHN is going to spend a lot of planning next year's HHN event around a film that has not been released yet. :rolleyes1

Wow!! I just saw Drag me to Hell and that better be incorporated into HHN somehow, too many horror movies lately have you bored or confused by the middle of the movie and forgetting you even saw it the day after, this one was really good and as I was watching it I kept thinking HHN and that they should make a sequel, the way it ended part 2 seems a certainty.
