Halfway between Durham and Lousiville

During the past year our family has really spread out. Currently one DD is in Durham, N.C., while DW and I are in Louisville. We were thinking of getting together somewhere around the halfway point between the two cities. Any suggestions here? We're talking some place that might be a drive of 4 hours or so. If it happened to have an outlet mall nearby, DW and DD would be very happy. Any suggestions are appreciated. TIA.

Don't know if this is half way, but how about something in the Smokey Mountain area?

Last year, we had a family reunion in Sevierville, TN, near Dollywood/Smokey Mountain State Park.

Thanks Deb, I'll check that out. Looks like Charleston, WV is about the halfway point. Any Dis-ers out that way with recommendations? This would be a one night weekend kind of trip.
