Half portions at WDW?

We're off to WDW in just over 5 weeks and I seem to remember reading on WISH that half portions of food are available at the restaurants. Can anybody please confirm this. I really don't want to look like an idiot, if I ask for a half portion of something and the waiter doesn't know what I'm talking about

Wishing we didn't have so many buffets planned!!!

I would love to know this too? And what is the price difference between a regular vs. half portion (maybe it's better to split a meal than order half portion??)

Maybe this should be moved to the restaurants board??

I finally found the thread to which I was referring. After trawling through 30 plus pages of WISH threads, I decided to have a look on the restaurant board and eventually found it. For anybody who is interested http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=448332

I don't really know if it is half price or not, I am not particularly bothered. This works better for me than splitting meals. I am the only one in my family with a weight problem so I don't want to ask DH to give up any of his food and My DD's and I do not usually want the same type of food. So if getting half portions works out for me I will let you know when I get back. Or if anybody is going before me, perhaps you could lets us know whether it is an option or not.
