Hi--I usually run..but I'm hoping to be preggers soon--so I thought about it and I may just train to walk. Ever since my knee surgery--the pace limits for those events is totally attainable. I coudl run just fine-but until they removed the tear I didn't know it affected my walking---surgery alone shaved 2 minutes off of my walking pace.
anyway---I easily get a sub 17:00 with no training (short distance)--so I know I could pull it off for a longer distance with effort and training.
I'm going to take a look at MFM.
But if you have any advice for endurance walking, I'd appreciate it. I will be walking fast enough to maintain a consistent pace and avoid the sweeper. My goal is an on-time finish and an inaugural medal.
This will be for the DL half. I will be placed in the highest corral where proof is not necessary b/c at the time of registration, I had proof of time for a run and placed myself accordingly.
