Disney Half says you have to finish in 3.5 hours or be swept. I looked at the final results, and noticed MANY finished with longer times. I am just wondering if those that took longer than 3.5 hours (who were not swept) still got a finishers medal?

I finished the Princess 1/2 in 3:30:47. I still got my medal. I also crossed the starting line about 3 minutes after gun. I know that some people crossed the starting line about 30 minutes after the gun. The sweeper bus timing does not start until after the last person crosses the starting line.

Yes you will as long as your physically cross the finish line. Your time doesn't matter as long as you are not swept.

Keep in mind that clock time and gun time are different. If you are in a high coral and it takes you 30 minutes to get to the line your clock time will be 30 minutes higher than your chip time. I am pretty sure your minimum pace is based on the chip time so you aren't penalized for crossing the line late.

As others have said, you have 3 hours 30 minutes to finish after the last person crosses the starting line. So if the last person crosses the starting line 10 minutes after you do, you really have 3 hours 40 minutes to finish.

Disney does have corrals based on projected finishing time so that faster runners start at the front and slower runners start at the back. I know for the half last year (or maybe it was the full) you had to submit a "proof of time" from a past race in order to not start in the way back. They are reasonably good at enforcing the corrals on race day, so you can't really plan on finishing in 4 hours, yet sneaking up to the front to gain extra time. You will get a bit of extra time, though, so the 3 hours 30 minutes isn't a strict cutoff.

Both the full and the half require a proof of time to move up in the corals. If you run a race closer to the Disney race and feel as though you are entitled to move up you can bring the proof to packet pickup and get bumped up there.
