Please give me a touring plan. I'm having trouble figuring this out.
We're gonna go to Ak for our first day. We should be arriving in AK around 11am and stay until closing on Dec. 8th (this Fri)
These are the must do's for our family:
Kilimanjaro safaris
lunch at tusker house
festival of the lion king
nemo musical
jingle jungle parade at 3:45
expedition everest

I just can't figure out how to do them all before closing. :confused3 Thanks in advance for your help.

:teeth: This was basically my family's plan for July 31, 2006. Except that we had to be out of AK by around 5:30 for HDDMR at FW. :cool2: Anyway, Everest will be, w/o a doubt the most difficult thing to do on your list. You cannot do both EE and FOTLK. It's just scientifically impossible. Things close, FP's run out, it happens! So, you may have to find another day to do one of them. KS will probably not be a problem, like the parade. The nemo musical will not be a problem either, as it is a huge ampitheater that you will be sitting in. Then again, you are going during a less crowded time than I.
So, when you get back, remember to tell me if you got all that you wanted done! :thumbsup2
I hope that I helped...enjoy your trip, mickeysgirl17! :wizard:

Right away Fastpass everest This will give you a 2 hour window until your next FP.

Head up to KS look at the wait time and what time the FP times are . If they are last just go ahead and Standby if they seem to have some FP left within the 2 hour period go to
FOTLK
Now look for lunch at Tuskeras it will be around 1:00 or so
Either use fastpass or go to FOTLK (whatever you didn't get done before lunch)

Ride everest wait for Parade then do Nemo or do Nemo and parade then everest.

It can be done, but you will so fall in love with this park that 1/2 day is not enough. :goodvibes You will move along right smartly, but indeed, shoot for EE first, FP or walk on. The que for this ride is FABULOUS, the yetti museum is a kick!

I think it can be done. We got that much done in a half day in Oct. 05 w/the substitutions of TTBAB and Dinosaur (and the boneyard where our boys spent forever) and had plenty of time. If you have a game plan you can do it. The other poster is right though, you'll leave wishing you had time for more.

I second FP for EE as soon as you enter the park. This will be your tricky ride to fit in. You might want to send one person, with alot of stamina, to go to EE to get FP while the rest of you mosey over to FOLK. This show is not to be missed! I would then go to Tusker House for lunch, if you follow a different plan you need to know that Tusker closes earlier than the park sometimes as early as 3pm. After a great lunch at Tusker it should be your window for EE and you can get another FP for the safari. Then head over to EE, taking time to enjoy the sights along the way. This is such a beautiful park! After EE it will probably be time for the parade. I think the best place to watch it is in front of Flights of Wonder. There is shade and because this is the end of the parade you don't have to get there too early to get a good spot. After the parade the park will start to clear out and you can probably get quite a bit done. You still have the Nemo musical left and you haven't rode Dinosaur or seen It's tought to be a bug yet. If you aren't able to ride the safari earlier in the day, or just want to ride it again, go late in the day. Lines are shorter and the animals are active. I love this park and have to visit several times a trip so don't be suprised if you feel the same!

thispast week for the Finding nemo musical, people were in line an hour earlier than showtimes so be prepared to stand hter a while. We FP EE when we first got to the park and then were able to go on it at 11:50 (got to park at 9:45) also there is a single riders line that goes about as fast as FP. It is one of my favorite parks as well, we spent 2 full days there and could have spent more.

I think you'll be fine, I did everything except nemo the musical. We started around noon. fast passed EE then went and rode the safari and then Kilimanjaro safaris, festival of the lion king, dinosour(you could insert Nemo), parade and then took our fp and rode EE before leaving for the day.

I've never quite understood the desire to do AK in 1/2 a day . . . unless that is all that will possibly fit into the schedule. There is so much to do there, just not of the traditional attraction sort. And it's absolutely the most relaxing park of the bunch. Between the nature trails, exhibits and shows, it's easy to spend a full day there. Then there's all of the attractions. Stay a full day if you can, AK is a place where you have to move a little more slowly than the other parks to get the most out of it.

I agree that AK deserves a whole day. The only reason I'm doing a half day is because the rest of my days are booked up with the other parks, cirque and the christmas party. We're on the dining plan too so we'll be using time eating and I have a DD3, so we need resting time too. I honestly wish I could do AK for 2 days!!

We are AK full day people because we love it and it is huge and detailed.

You will be commandos but you can do it with fastpass. I would maybe fastpass EE then do Nemo grab another FP when you are able to according to your EE fastpass. I would then possibly do FOTL which is way over yonder from Safari. After FOTL it may be time to catch the parade. I would use my Fastpasses afterward. Be careful not to let them expire.
