Ding, dang doooooo!!!

Booked last night to take my mum and dd (3) to see Mickey & Co the week after next for 4 days/3 nights!!! Leaving dh and ds (1) at home :worried: We went last year and was fab but we were restricted due to little man being so little. So thought a girlie weekend was due.

Anyway........ Have any of you booked half board and what did this cost? We are staying at the HNY, 25% off and reasonable as you like as last minute!! We really want to go to Buffalo Bills and do a Princess dinner. Would like to dine at the Blue Lagoon again too as was by far the best feed we had last year. So is half board the way forward, will it save us money?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Cubby x:yay:

Hi Cubby and welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

Congratulations on your bargain! :thumbsup2 Lots of DISers are booking half-board now as it definitely saves money, especially with the poor exchange rate.

Hiya! HB does save a lot of money if you want to eat a big meal each day. The best information on it can be found here, in my opinion:

http://www.iglu.com/disney/disney_half_board.cfm

I have booked HB plus, and you pay £17 per day for it (which is currently only worth 21 Euro!!) And the least it will be worth in the park to you is 25 Euro, so its great value!! Especially for our lucky Nugget Sallon Lunch, which is normally 30E without a drink and we are getting it on our voucher (so 21E) and that includes a drink!!

Although I have a good DIS reccomendation to try the Pahntom Manor cocktail there, so I think I will be paying a bit extra for one of those!!!

Hope I helped!! Any other Q's dont hesitate!!

Hi torsie!
sorry to jump in here, but I have just booked a spur of the moment trip for next month and added the half board to the booking. There was no mention of different types of half board when I booked, or at least I didn't notice them.. I have just checked out the link you put up and have now realised that with the standard half board you are limited to just 6 restaurants, hmmm I only got the half board *** I thought it would save me a lot of money on table service in the parks. Do you know if I can upgrade to the plus or premium package? I'm staying at Santa Fe if that makes any difference??

I would be grateful for any info you could give me :thumbsup2

Im not sure if you upgrade but probably can if you phone up to ask. However you can still use the vouchers in any restaurant in the parks but at face value rather then as full payment for the meal.
