Hi there guys!

Where oh where can I look to see what times places are open til in January? Still in 2 minds about half board plus but if we do decide we would rather use it for dinner INSTEAD of lunch, but in some places they only open for lunch. Is there a website that has this info, I have tried looking but can't seem to get anywhere and I'm going round in circles.

Also we are going for 5 nights and 6 days (6th day being awhole day near enough)...so could we save one lot for the last day or are they dated?

Can anyone recommend places on the half board plus that would be nice for us for dinner time :) Thank you all xxx

They arent dated individually but can only be used between the dates you are there so can use on on the day you leave instead of arrive or could use 2 on the same day if you are very hungry.

There isnt a list anywhere about opening times for restaurants but usually if the park closes early the ones in the park will only be open for lunch (but this may be til 4ish

The ones in the hotels/village of course are all open later

hi, we did h.b plus last year and only ate in the evening. We chose the steakhouse (prob our best meal) and also at billy bobs and hunters grill. All of these were really enjoyable evenings, made better by booking before we went to avoid the queues of course!!!Have booked it again for this yr as felt the standard was too restricting for evening locations in jan and will prob use the same restauarants again this yr.

Aww thank you, right I get it!! I think it was you yesterday that said that Lucky Nugget was lunch only...so that kinda made me wonder what was what:) ...So in Jan Annettes Diner will be open later type thing yeah? Just park ones are shut early:)

Feel a bit daft now cause its like common sense!:thumbsup2

Thank you xx

Yes, sure that village ones are open normal times as we ate about 8pm every night. v busy tho, prob because all of the park ones were shut!!

Thank you we have tried Billy bobs and we loved it, there was a great show on too so it was cool!

My husband is slowly coming round to the idea of HB+ now, it sounds like a good way to go!

Thanks for the booking info and the places you like, gives us a better idea when people have already been and go back to it!:thumbsup2

Hi, I'm going in January too and I've booked the halfboard plus option. This was quite a big outlay for us as we usually munch our way through fast food, however I wanted some decent food for the kids (and us) so opted to pay. I think I'm going for The Steakhouse brunch on the Sunday we arrive as this is apparently a character meal. I wanted to go to Walts but apparently it's not open on the days we are there. I'm definitely doing Cafe Mickey but then I have one more to choose. I'm thinking Annette's or Lucky Nugget. It's so hard to know what to go for!

I know what you mean! We need to choose (well have an idea at least) for 5 days and its so hard!:rotfl:

Cafe Mickey? I didn't think that was one of them or do you pay a wee bit extra and if so roughly how much extra...have you booked it for going? Do they ask what day you would prefer or do they just tell you?

xxx

You can use your vouchers and pay the extra at CM.. how much depends on what you have. The half board plus have the value of 25 euros. I believe you can do this anywhere.

Excellent, I thought they stopped doing that!! thanks tigger!!:thumbsup2 And I also forgot CM wasn't a buffet, I've been reading the food guide all day now and got carried away!!!:rotfl: So yeah it would dpend what you ordered! sorry!! xxx

Yeah as far as i know, you can use any of the vouchers at any of the places on all the lists(for standard, plus and premium) for face value.

thanks tigger! Makes life harder now though!:rotfl: ;) There is too much to choose from.

Tell me is this right 32 euros = near £26, my husband says google is wrong!:rotfl: Is the euro THAT bad? I know its not good but thats pretty terrible!:scared1:

urmm why u trying to work that out?

In june we had HBPlus and ate off set menus that were 32 and 28 euros and didn't pay any extra.

:rotfl: I know I'm weird...what it was is that I was looking at menus, not really anything to do with half board and something was 32 euros and we were trying to work out what that actually was in £s and Paul was shocked what it was...which at the end of the day is good he might see HB+ is worth it!!

Oh right loool I dont bother looking at the prices if we've got HBP lool

right one more question then I have to go to tescos!

When you go in (wherever) do you have to tell them straight away you have HB? I think you do but just want to check:)

right better go kids are starving!;) xx

Yep Katrina, 32 euro is about £26 just now.

I've never bothered with HB vouchers before, but I'm doing it for this trip, its going to save us so much money.
We're going to do Cape Cod at the NBC, and the Beaver Creek Tavern at the SL. We can book those in advance too. I think we probably would have had one dinner from the HBplus vouchers at Cafe Mickey instead, but we're doing a breakfast there one morning.

You'd be best to tell your waiter as soon as you're seated that you have HB vouchers, as some restaurants you get a set menu on the HB plus (ie its a different menu from the standard one).

yes, they tend to ask you in most places anyway

we thought tho's two places were lovely and def worth the vouchers.

I thought you can eat off of the standard menus if u ask and ant to pay extra tho...

If you eat off the standard menus (non-buffet restaurants) with HB vouchers, they will deduct the face value of the voucher off your final restaurant bill. If you have half board plus, this is worth 25 euros. So if your bill came to 30 euros, you'd have 5 euros to pay.
