Hakuna Matata Team Challenge Hours/Miles

Good Morning all!!!

I did 4 miles on the dreadmill last night so I have tonight off to have my check up on my new contacts - which I love by the way. Multi-focal lenses so I don't need cheaters to read or sew!! Fab for us "older" folks.

Also, a plus or I should say minus, scale says I lost a few pounds -- FINALLY so I'm real thrilled about that- thank you very much.

OK - off to make lunch, get ready to start the day! Already have dinner in the crock pot so tonight will be really restful!

Have a GREAT day all, glad to be part of a super group!

Good morning Denise, YEA!!, on the lost pounds. I have your son's squeeze all bedded down with the Herc's Heroes team. They are a very motivated group so they will help her out.

Hi everyone on the Hakuna Matata team:hug:

I get to go to the gym this morning and continue my rehab routine.

We are forcasted to get some icy roads today and tonight, yucky!

I was wondering what team she was on!! We'll have to challenge each other.

That's Hope in the white hat on the right, in the back of DH Mark in our group shot AFTER the 1/2 this year.

Hi Hope(a)

In Connie's absence I didn't want to clog her PM with mileage posts, so I will log to the team that I ran my three miles bright and early this morning. I feel so lucky that I was able to greet the sun 'head on', and with the warmth of its embraced rays I can handle anything that comes my way today!

Its fabulous to be alive, healthy, and a part of the Hakuna Mata Team !

The good news here is that the wind has decided to calm down, it is supposed to be calm all week! It was not as warm as it was supposed to be yesterday, but because I was expecting great conditions, I planned a longer ( 7 mile) walk, and did it anyway! Trying to make up for the long weekend of no exercise. Today should be decent, I should get at least my 6 mile walk in, and maybe even some of the pilates tape that I have been ignoring. I am thankful that we rarely have bad roads, the snow normally just blows off them, we normally just have to deal with the wind in the winter.

Connie's hubby was having a back thing done today. Steroids injected or something like that. She should be around again shortly.

Hi Margie, Darlin your weather sucks you can have it back and quit leaving the door open, your as bad as our Canadian buds.

Oops, sorry Panda!

Tell me about it. This winter has been a weird one. I think a big part for us is that we didn't wanna come back from Disney. It was so nice there, even though we had one chilly day after the marathon. But it was 40s and a medium jacket was plenty. A tall beer helped to.

Oh well time to suck it up and just be glad we have a home and a job and stop whinning.

We can't wait till Oct though for the ToT.

Homesick for the House of Mouse Panda:hippie:

Just on a bit of a walkabout, and thought I'd visit Hakuna Matata. I'm here especially to wish Connie and her DH good luck with the doctor! :thumbsup2

And here's a random thought. It sounds like the weather's just plain awful in ALL your necks of the woods, and that the dreadmill fills you all with, well, dread. So why doesn't Team Hakuna Matata take a nice, long break and wait for spring to come? You could hibernate. No need to rack of miles and minutes for the challenge. :lmao:

Oh, and I hear the Panda's willing to foot the bill if y'all want to take a breather and go to WDW! :goodvibes

I Debra, did you come to visit the kinder gentler Panda? I wonder if I should count driving home in on ice covered roads as crosstraining? It sure got my heart rate up.

Socially exceptable Panda:hippie:

Actually, I was hoping to find the trash-talking Panda, but I love the kinder, gentler panda too! :goodvibes

Hey, I say anything that gets your HR up is good exercise, although staring at pretty princesses (or in my case, powerful princes) is probably preferable to driving on those road conditions! ;)

Yes all of our princesses are pleasing to the eye. But above all they are strong and brave and refuse to give up when life gives them a challange.

Deep Contented sigh thinking about all our lovely ladies Panda:)

Thanks everyone for your support! DH is now pain free! It looks like the procedure will do the trick!

Thanks, for the update Connie! And PTL the procedure was a success!

I will PM my miles & time ...
Feeling better today. My cheek bones are not as sore, so the movement on the dreadmill did not make me nauseous. :upsidedow

Dear Panda, around here driving on that ice gives the muscles a real work out too! Then you also get the added benefit of a breathing workout. :scared1:

Went to see the movie 'The Spirit of the Marathon.' It was great :thumbsup2

Good morning Margie and all the Hakuna Matata warriors.

Today is just rain and my achillies didn't even hurt when I got out of bed as long as I walked easy. So much better than were it was, very sore to even touch it. I think this injury adventure is almost over.:yay:

I will sendn you my hours Connie, no miles but 7.5 hours of excersise. At least with counting hours when I'm lame I can still contribute something.

Have a super day y'all, I'm off to stretch and calistetics.

Stretchy Panda:hippie:
