I loved how my hair looked for our wedding!! I have very short hair and it's thin and wavy, so I didn't know what to do with it. I also looked ridiculous in every veil I tried on, so I knew I'd be going with just a headband/tiara. I grew it out for 6 months and my hairdresser worked miracles! Friends and family who know what my hair normally looks like could not get over it when they saw the pictures and I've gotten a ton of compliments - I tell them to compliment my hairdresser! She used so much hairspray I know we destroyed the ozone layer above the Wilderness Lodge :rotfl:

This is from my hair trial. I may make some slight changes to it.

Ladies, I love your pics!

Bridetobe82, I love the little pearl pins in that style! I think it will add a romantic touch! Do you have to grow out your hair to do that?

JandJ, Do you have a picture of you pre hairspray :) I am always amazed at what a good can of hairspray can do! You looked beautiful on your big day!!! I also love your dress! I;m growing out my hair right now for my day...not fun. I am gonig to lop it off right before the honeymoon :)

Moonpie, I have never seen a headband like that with the tule and the satin bow ! Where did you get that? So cool! What does your dress look like? I like the curls in the back!!!

Oh, thank you! I'm never sure what anyone thinks of that headband, because I've never seen another bride with it on. I got it from Leah C. Couture, and it was something I saw featured in Martha Stewart Weddings. The artist doesn't have it on her website any longer, but I emailed her requesting one, and she made color changes to it for me.

Oh, and you asked about my dress... :)

Thank you! I loved my wedding dress too, it was THE perfect dress!! I wish I had a reason to wear it again :goodvibes The growing out can be such a pain - I know exactly how you feel. I cut mine off a couple of months after the wedding, and I'm growing it again now. I go through phases ;) I'll cut it all off for 4 or 5 months, then try to grow it again, when it gets to chin length I cut it all off again. I guess I'm lucky I can wear my hair short since I get bored with it so easily. Please keep us posted on what you decide to do with your hair for your wedding!!

Here is at the rehearsal dinner - waves but no body or height:

Here she is blowing it out:

Here she is putting in the headband/tiara. My head is kind of small  so it really was digging in - I needed a child size headband but fell in love with this Swarovski one:

And to give you a better idea, this is how flat it was the day after the wedding:

This is it now (this was on my b-day in Disney a couple weeks ago). The "great grow out" begins again:

It sounds like we had the same problems with the veils and went for the same look with the headband/tiara! :teeth: My hairdresser did wonders with my hair too because it is so thick and wavy. In the FL humidity....it grows and becomes a big wavy mess! It was amazing how much product she had to use, but it looked perfect even outside on the water in all that humidity! :goodvibes

Your hair is too cute! I would love to be able to wear my hair short like that!

JandJ, Those photos of you are too cute! You are not kidding that she got a ton of volume out of your short hair!!! That is amazing!!!!! I think you pull off short hair great!! I would love to be able to wear a cut like that!!!! You are your hubby look so cute together and happy belated birthday!!!!! Thanks for sharing those pictures!!!!

I'm pretty sure that you have to have longer hair for that style...I have also been growing out my hair!

this is the best picture I currently have of my hairstyle from my wedding. I wasn't a disbride, but we honeymooned there :p I took pictures to my hairstylist of this and it turned out basically exactly the way i had pictured it :)

Basically the front was parted to one side...when i get my proofs back i'll post a better picture ;)

Thanks cantwait! - I love it short so we'll see how long I go with this grow out. I'm not betting on it getting any longer than chin length before I whack it off again
Thanks for the b-day wishes, it was a wonderful b-day in Disney!

Fairy_Tale_Bride - You looked beautiful in your headband/tiara! I loved my headband/tiara, even though it cost a small fortune, and was way too big for my head. It's funny, I have thin hair and you have thick hair; yours grows in humidity and mine frumps - Thank goodness for lots and lots of product :rotfl:

Moonpie - your headband is gorgeous - can't wait to see your pictures!

I'm growing my hair out so I can do something kind of Victorian like this. I love the long barrel curls. Maybe the crown is a little much, though :):):)

Gorgeous Brides! I am subscribing since I need to decide what I am doing in Dec...I may go with a simple rhinestone headband...who knows right now, I am in dire need of a haricut!!!
