:wave2: Hi All,

Anyone know what a little boys regular hair cut will cost?
I was going to have my sons hair cut before we left home, but I've decided to wait and have it done at the haircutters at MK.
I'm putting together an estimate of our definite costs, and would like to add this to the list.

Any tips on going to the cutters at MK?....where is it located?

Any help would be greatly appriciated!! :D

I've never been to the barbershop at MK, but if it were up to me, I wouldn't really want to get my hair cut during a vacation. I'd rather use my vacation time to do something that I can't do at home. And, getting the haircut at home has the benefit of being able to take a shower afterwards, to get rid of hair clippings that find their way down my back.

The Harmony Barber Shop is on Main Street, on the left as you walk toward the castle and marked by a candy cane striped post if I remember correctly. Our DS had his first haircut there in the summer of '99. I think the cost was around $7.00 then. The rates were good and the experience was GREAT. The barbershop quartet sings as the barber cuts. We have some wonderful pictures of him in a Mickey apron with a pair of oversized scissors. He was also given Mickey Ears that say "My First Haircut."

My husband had his hair cut there last year. It was a lot of fun! I think it was around $13, but I'm not sure. The hair cut didn't take very long, and when they were done, he got confetti sprinkled all over him, which my kids thought was hillarious! He also got a very nice haircut. I highly recommend it, it really doesn't take much extra time.

Hi!

Definitely go and get a haircut there if time permits!!! The Barbershop is located on the left hand side just before you enter Main Street and is tucked all the way in the back corner. We love going there if the line is not too long and is a great Disney experience whether it's your first or your hundredth haircut. It's a great photo op too with lots of surprises!

BTW, if you do go please say hi to Mychal (sp?) for us - he's an extra special barber who displays that special cm disney magic!!

We had my 3DS's hair cut there last August. It was $12 per child and $15 per Adult. It was a wonderful experience. It was our baby's first haircut and it happened that the Dapper Dans walked in as his cut began. He loved watching them and didn't even realize that anyone was cutting his hair. I wish the Dapper Dan's were around here because he won't sit still for his haircuts at home. He got his hair in a little envelope, a baby's first haircut mickey ears hat, and a certificate. My other 2 boys got lots of pixie dust and stickers. All three loved it and we will do it again next trip.

It is a magical experience. You will not be disappointed! I think my child's cut was around $12.00 in December.

I had my son's first haircut there in February and it was sooo special! I cried and everyone teased me about it. It was $13 and we tipped $2, which was not bad for something special at Disney.

If you don't get there right when they open though, be prepared for a wait, we waited an hour for Jason's haircut.

My ds, dh and dgp all got a hair cut last Thanksgiving. It was GREAT!!! Billie was great, she made our son feel so relaxed, he was 2.5 at the time.

We will do this again this coming Thanksgiving.

There is another thread about this a few pages back with lots of great stories and info, including my own.

I don't know how to put in a link, so do a search for it.

It has some great photos in it also.
