Hair Up-do For Girls

I HAD PLANNED HAVING A MOTHER/DAUGHTER HAIR APPT FOR FORMAL NIGHT. WE DID THIS ON A CARNIVAL CRUISE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT YOU HAVE TO BE 18. I ASKED WHY IF I AM WILLING TO PAY WHAT AN ADULT WOULD PAY SITTING IN THE SAME CHAIR. ANY IDEAS OR SIMILAR PROBLEMS?

Disney's rule is no one under age 18 is allowed in the hair salon...I'm not sure why, but that is their rule and there is no way around it.

They do occasionally offer teen manicure/pedicure type packages, but they will not do hair for anyone under age 18.

My guess it's also because DCL has so many more kids than Carnival. And if they (DCL) allowed kids to have their hair done w/Mom, the mom/daughter hair appointments would be harder to get than the Spa ressies.

I'd be rushing to book the ressies w/you Ella2, because I'd love to be able to have my daughter's hair done for formal night.

They were not sticking to the rule on the April 1st Wonder. I was in the spa for a pedicure soon after sailing and there was a girl about 10 (definitely not a teen) getting her nails done. I mentioned it to the woman doing my pedicure and she said they must be traveling with someone important because they do break the under 18 rule for VIPs.

I'm trying to learn how to French Braid my DD's long, thick hair. I'm getting better, but it takes practice.
