Hair Straightening - Brazilian Keratin

Has anyone here tried this, or talked to anyone who tried it?

I'm trying to grow out my hair, but it always gets frizzy. It is the worst when it's humid, like when we go to WDW.

My hairdresser mentioned this treatment, but I'm afraid it might make my hair too flat.

I know quite a few people who have had it done, honesty I have to say the ones who's hair looks the best is the people with the thickest hair, thin hair looks artificially straight (not natural, too straight) especially on the ends -- just my opinion. Thickest hair looks very natural.

Isn't that the stuff with formaldahyde? (?sp). I have a good friend who did this, her hair looks beautiful but it looked beautiful before. I can say she has really thick hair, she is the only person that I know that has done it. My sister in law has curly hair but hers frizzes more. She uses a relaxer on it, it can't be as strong as what they use on african-american hair from what she said. Her's looks nice and still seems to have some body to it, my friend who does the brazilian is pin straight now.

One other thing, my sister in law says that she thinks the grey is more noticeable when her hair is straightened than when it's curly.
