okay, up here in CT, i don't really have to worry about frizziness bc of hot weather since its usually rather cool here.. but when i go in florida, i straighten my hair and POOOOOOOOOOFFFF goes my hair. its AWFUL and i can never wear it down :sad2: i use Treseme shampoo & conditioner, and I put syrum in my hair but it still NEVER works when i go to disney.. someone please helppp!! i just dont kno what to do :confused3

My hair doesn't really frizz that much when I'm down there, but if it does, I just throw it up in a pony tail.
If you want to wear it down, maybe go to a salon and ask them if they have any suggestions. You might need a professional product, not something you can buy in a drug store.

Ahh.... I live in the south, and I've recently learned how to tame my frizz.

I use Pantene anti-friz shampoo and conditioner. Every other day, I use an Aussie hair mask (just run it through hair and leave in for three minutes then rinse). Cold water leaves hair smooth and shiny, so you might want to rinse with that for a few seconds.

I like to let my hair dry, then dampen with a water bottle, spread anti-frizz cream (Garnier Fructis, I believe), blow dry (2 minutes max), then run john freida finishing cream through hair and straighten (baha... I never used to use this much stuff, but my sister got me hooked). After your hair's straight, if it's still frizzy, hairspray works wonders. Spray down your hair then smooth down frizz with the palms of your hands.

If all else fails, you could always embrace the humidity and go for some natural waves! (wrap little twisty-curlers in your hair and blow dry)

Good luck beating the humidity!

Pantene is actually very bad for your hair. It thins your hair. No, it hasn't happened to me, but several people I know with different hair types have all had their hair thinned after using pantene.

The best combination I've found for frizz is Garnier Fructis and John Frieda "Frizz-Ease".

oh i know exactly how you feel, my hair is really think and very frizzy
i use redken products and they seem to tame it a bit

When your in florida, why don't you just forget about straightening your hair and just wear it naturally up in a ponytail.

I was just down there last week and I found the best thing for me was to use bed head frizz stuff.

Also if you use a blow dryer see if it has a cool button on it. The cold hair helps set your hair into place. Other than that don't go into the humidity right after you straighten your hair. It wont have time to set.

i just dont straighten my hair in FL.
try perfecting your natural hair :)

That's interesting. My hair is naturally thin, so maybe I should stop using this. My mom and sister buy my shampoo, though. Really they just tell me they hate my hair so they fix it for me.

This is probably your best bet. Try not straightening it for a couple days. Plus I find if I lay off the blow drying/straightening for a couple weeks, and only use it sparingly my hair comes out a lot smoother and nicer when I do straighten it.

I just let my natural hair go free when I'm in Florida.
It curls like there's no tomorrow, but it's alright. I'm not trying to look my best on vacation. =)

Try different cute hairstyles :)
You can braid your hair, put it in a pony or in a messy bun.
And anyway, curly hair is awesome (though I wouldn't know, my hair is so straight I can't do anything with it)

i have thick, curly hair.

just shower daily (and don't use pantene pro-v. it ODs your hair on vitamins and strips good oils out. if you use it, use it once a week or so and mix it up with other shampoos)
then moose if you must.

honestly. no one in disney is going to care if you have frizzy hair. why waste time worrying about your hair instead of going out in the park and having fun.

Well, i have bad hair in THIS weather, let alone the weather in America. My hair is terribly curly, so when i am in America the humidity doesn't help. I tend to straighten my hair as much as i can get away with while in Florida, though it doesn't help much.

All i can advise is that you shower a lot, and try to keep your hair wet as much as possible. It stop it going beserk.

Bed head, redken and catwalk all make some great products....redken probably being the most expensive out of the three. I have straight as a stick hair, but I currently have a perm because I happen to love curly hair, which comes in handy when we go to disney because I don't have to worry much about the humidity. One thing I do use to control the bit of frizz I get with my perm is a hairspray by redken that has 24 hr humidity control...it works pretty well in the florida heat. I think like $16 bucks for a can. Although I would probably follow the advice of everybody else on here and just let it be natural because its disney and I promise you nobody is going to follow you around snickering behind your back about your frizzy hair. Hope this helps! :goodvibes
