Hair extension?

Anyone every get them? What kind did you get? Did you like them, were they hard to take care of?

Just bumping.

I've never considered them, but I had someone offer me a whole lotta money for my hair the other day and so I cannot imagine it's an inexpensive process. I've been growing my hair for Locks of Love, but now I'm thinking of selling it and just giving the money to LoL organization.

We were just at a marching band competition and one of the color guards for one band all had hair extensions and through the show you would see a plop of hair, then another, then another. About 1/2 the guard lost their 'hair'. It was kind of funny. I bet they don't do that next year (these were the cheep ones you buy at the store not ones that you have woven into your own hair).

My DD had them done. They were sewn in. I felt like they didin't match her hair exactly. After 1 week she complained they hurt, and she had them taken out. Don't ask how much! It's a secret around therse parts. My DH would die if he knew. She paid for 1/2, I paid the other. Even 1/2 the cost was too much.
Her friend buys the kind from beauty supply stores that you clip in. They look just as nice.

I have a friend who is a model that uses cheap extensions. She gets real human hair at a special beauty shop. It isn't a place like Sally Beauty. It is a place that generally caters to African American and Hispanic women.

She sews 'allegator' clips on herself and then just clips it into her own hair. You'd never know and it doesn't fall out. The staff at the beauty place showed her how to sew on the clips.

All and all she spends less that $30.
