Hair extension questions!

I sure hope some of you can help me. Two years ago I got a wild idea to cut all of my long hair off. I have hated it ever since. It has been 2 years and is only to my shoulders. Does anyone out there know how much it would cost to get extensions put into my hair? And if I do this, how long do they last? I would love my hair long again but I cannot see spending a fortune to do it only to have to spend the money again in 6 weeks. Also, does it damage the natural hair at all? Any help, and info. Thanks.

Depending on what kind of extensions you get and what type of hair you use, will depend on the price. Where I live (NYC) it can run anywhere from $400-$1200. If you have a beauty supply store or Sally's in your area, try going there and buying the clip in extensions. You can also buy the hair in a package and sew the clips on yourself (after measuring your head). It should work out to be less expensive that way and if you take care of them, they will last.
