are there hair dryers in a cat 4 room or do we need to bring our oun

Yes, yes... There are hair dryers and you will probably want to bring your own. My wife says the ones provided are not very powerful and she was happy to have hers.

I also would suggest you bring your own. The one we had in our room never got hot enough.

Here is a photo of the hairdryer in a Cat10 room. It is rated at only 900 watts. A typical home hairdryer is uses from 1200 to 1600 watts. So if you have thick hair, you'll miss the heat.

Strange - Both of our cruises on the Magic (CAT-6) we had 1500 Watt hair dryers (clearly labeled) and they looked just like the picture posted. They worked just fine.

We plugged a room air freshener in the outlets on the front...

Bottom line, if you're picky about hair dryers, bring your own, and an extension cord.


DD is 14 and has LONG, THICK hair, and found the dryer in the bathroom worked just find, actually TOO hot for her. But as they say, your mileage may vary.
