Does anyone know if they have put hair dryers in the desk on the Disney Wonder like the new ships or is it still the one attached to the wall in the bathroom?
In contrast...I just cruised on the Fantasy last week and the desk hairdryer was pointless. Wimpy little thing (I have long, thick-ish hair though)! They had both when we were there last week. The one in the bathroom is a joke...little heat and power. The one at the desk worked very well.
The first thing us veterans of the hair dryer sagas ask when we hear this is: did you plug it into the (one and only) correct plug? It's a Babyliss hairdryer, which is a professional model. It may not have been as good as the hairdryer you have at home (if you have a top of the line model), but it's anything but wimpy. It's at least as good as any I've ever seen in a salon around here. If you did use the one correct plug, maybe you had a bad dryer. In contrast...I just cruised on the Fantasy last week and the desk hairdryer was pointless. Do you mean there is only one outlet in the rooms on the Wonder? The first thing us veterans of the hair dryer sagas ask when we hear this is: did you plug it into the (one and only) correct plug? (How do I know this--I've plugged the dryer into the wrong outlet before and thought the same thing you did!

Which outlet? I used the one at the desk. Oh , no, I'm sorry I wasn't clear. There are multiple outlets, but only one that will work with the hair dryer. If I recall correctly, it's to the right of the other outlets. It looks like this:Do you mean there is only one outlet in the rooms on the Wonder?
This is what I would ask too, since I have done the exact same thing. The old ones on the Magic/Wonder were pointless though so I'm glad to hear that the Wonder now has the good dryers too!The first thing us veterans of the hair dryer sagas ask when we hear this is: did you plug it into the (one and only) correct plug?
