Hair Dryer question...

Thanks so much everyone! Now I have to research a few. I've seen the solanos on ballbeauty.com and a $132 model is on sale for about $85. But I will definitely buy one and see if I can straighten my own hair. As someone else has already said, I don't want it pin straight like the chi does, but I could do without these curls every now and then. Not to mention everyone thinks I look younger without the curls! :cheer2:

I use the Revlon Ionic dryer - It has three attachments (one for just blow drying, one for larger curls, one for smaller curls), and boy does it work wonders!!! I know it isn't a super-professional type, but I swear by both the ionic aspect and it styles great while drying at the same time. :thumbsup2
This is the link for Ulta, but I got mine at a larger Target store.

The professional dryers are up to 2000 watts. I work for Conair and we actually make the Babyliss and most of the Revlon dryers. The new ionic dryers cut down on the drying time too and are not as expesive. I know they sell the Babyliss dryers at Sally Beauty and many other beauty stores.

The brush dryer thing does not get stuck at all in my hair. In fact, my 13 year old uses it and doesn't have any problems. Now, a round brush while blow drying will require scissors. I think the brushes on the dryer are more spaced out or something. :)

I will not NOT use a non-professional dryer (nor flat iron for that matter)

They heat up better, so you spend less time - in essense - damaging your hair.

They dry your hair quick,, and evenly.

This is what I figured. These days there is usually a parent company that makes all different brands that we know. I've never looked into it who made what but figured that was how it was (just like it is with hair product). Thanks for the info.

I think how you dry your hair, (ie. how your direct the air, how you work the brush, what type of brush you use, etc.) makes the biggest difference. JMHO.

Well, I was just blowdrying my daughter's hair and my $25 Vidal Sasoon just died... I guess I can justify buying a new one now! Thanks for all of your tips!
