Has anyone had a adult hair cut on main street? I saw where you can do this. I thought it might be fun? :earsboy: :earsgirl:

my dad got one 2 years ago it is worth doing they did great

When we were there in Sept/Oct and got our DS first haircut there were adults getting their hair cut as well. Main Street Barber Shop, just to the left at the start of main street, next to the fire hall.

We are going in June. What did they do for your DH. Do they put in the glitter??I have asked my sons if they want to do it and right now they said no, maybe I can talk my DH into it. Has any woman gotten their haircut there? :sunny:

He's been twice since November (our first trip) and we've scheduled one for May when I am sure he will get another one. It is 17 dollars plus tip. They take cash. He loves to get his haircut there. The first time after his stylist was done she put a special drape around him that was striped and took out some giant sissors and posed for a picture with him. Ask for the pixie dust. She paints a Mickey Head on his hair too. He just loves it, but I had to ask him to wash it out befor our ressies at V&A's. Maybe this time I will get one too. We've not encountered a line because we go when the parade starts. By the time it gets to the Barber Shop the haircut is done and you have a prime parade viewing spot. The parade ends in front of the shop.

Main Street Barber Shop is great place for hair cut, very good barbers to boot. :goodvibes :flower: :sunny: :earsboy:

My son and his granny had hair cuts last year. They even had Mickey Ears Gelled on the back of their heads. DS had Green, DGMA had blue. DGMA put her hat on right after the ears were put on, big mistake. The gel takes a while to dry, and is very hard to get out when it is dry. Took about a week for it to come of of DS's hair. The top of his hair was spiked and gelled too with "Pixie Dust".

Do you have to make an appointment before you get there or can you just go in when you want? My two nephews might like that.

I don't believe they take reservations for haircuts, so it's just a matter of waiting for whoever is in front of you in line. However, the shop is small enough that it discourages too-long lines and the barbers are pretty quick.

I will be getting my hair cut while there on April 15th! Very much looking forward to it, and I will post pictures!

they put glitter gel in your hair and then sprinkle more sparkles and mickey confetti. there are a bunch of pages somwhere on the dis that have pics of both girls and boys with their hair done. also they dont take ressies. you have to wait and sometimes the wait can be quite lengthy so many recommend getting it done right when the park opens.

Here's my kids getting haricuts last summer!

I might give it a try in May...depends how long the wait is going to be. :cool1:

Here's a question, what's the price... I haven't been to get cut but am looking forward to it now!

there is another thread with the prices listed. dont know off hand but i think its like $12 or $14 for a boy cut. I could be way off though.

About a week before my Fairy Tale Weddings vow renewal, I went into the Magic Kingdom to get myself a trim at the Harmony Barber Shop (click here for photo). Since I had my digital camera with me that afternoon, one of the barbershop patrons asked me if I wanted a photograph to remember my haircut by. Of course, I said that I did.

As I left the barbershop, I reviewed the photo that had been taken. Imagine my surprise when I saw the Mickey Mouse head on the barbershop bib, and the huge pair of scissors that the barber was holding up behind me. As I looked at that photo, I laughed so hard that I almost pee'd my pants. Ya just gotta love that Disney ~magic.~

My DH has had his haircut there the last two time we have been, the last bein in December. He loves it and he is 45. He gets the glitter, etc. Both times CMs off duty have been in there waiting for a haircut, as well.

Do they really use the giant scissors while cutting, imagne what would happen if I mistake were to take place! Am I being too paranoid?
