Is there a place on the ship that you can get your hair braided. Not a whole head, just a few little braids on the side. Or have you done this on any of the ports. Doing the Western Caribbean, on the Fantasy. Thanks

Yes, there is hair braiding onboard. At least there was when we were on the Fantasy. You pay based on number of braids. I wouldn't do it in port (I'm wary of the hygiene practices off the ship). Well, except for Castaway Cay (but that's still part of the DCL staff).

Yes. There is hair braiding on the pool deck. If you are interested in this, I suggest you make a reservation early on. We went on the third day and they were booked for the rest of the cruise. There is a place on Castaway Cay where you can get your hair braided or wrapped. I think the prices are the same but you don't have to wait.

You bet. We often see women from the spa out on deck near the pools, offering braiding, as little or as much as you want. What a great setting when you are relaxing onboard ship, and though expensive they are friendly and professional.

We've seen them at the ports too, near the ship, including Castaway Cay, but haven't done it ourselves.

I was actually surprised at how INexpensive it was to get it done on the boat! My daughters each got three braids on the side with some beads. If I'm not mistaken, we paid $2 per braid. We did make an appointment as the women were quite busy!

(We were recently in Mexico at an all-inclusive and paid so much more and it wasn't as good.)

We had my daughter's hair braided at CC. It was $2 per braid. She had the whole front section of her head braided, kind of like headband style. The ladies on CC are not true Disney employees, they live on another Bahamian island and commute in to CC. The braiders on the ship are Disney employees. (I asked) Anyway, I liked the way the CC braiders did the style much better than the ship board braiders style.

My daughter's head took 30 braids to do, and it lasted 3.5 weeks. She could have gone longer but she was ready to have them out.
