I'm looking for info on hair braiding on board. My daughter would like to have it done as soon as possible. I thought I heard they do it on board the ship. Do you need reservations? If so, where and when do you make them?
Thanks so much
Chris

Hi Chris,

Yes, they do hairbraiding on board and yes I would suggest reservations. Usually the welcome aboard navigator will have something on it telling you where and when to go to make reservations. If you don't see it on the navigator that first evening then ask at guest services and they should be able to tell you.

Yes they do take reservations. We had to make one for our DD. They had us line up by the Walt Disney Theater, at 5:30pm sat. Our cruise had the According to Jim sitcom being filmed onboard and all the good times for hairbraiding were gone by the time we reached the CM taking the bookings. (We were 5th in line).

What about cost for the hair braiding? I have really long and thick hair and would love to have someone put a french braid in it. I have CT in both of my hands so it makes it really hard for me to do my own and I don't think I have the patience for all those little braids.

If you can wait and/or you don't have any luck getting reservations on the ship, all is not lost! My DD had hers done on Castaway Cay where they do it all day and have many more braiders working (they come by boat from neighboring islands in the Bahamas).

MAKE SURE YOU GET A RESERVATION! When we were there I got a reservation but when they were braiding my hair people just kept comming up asking to have it done and they said that they had reservations and were full. The reservations take 10 min. and are well worth it to ensure no disapointment!

They were charging 2.00 per corn roll and 1.00 per braid.

Don't forget to pick a good color for your beads!!! :)

One thing to add. We waited in line at 5:30 the 1st night to make reservations and when we got to make them, all the good times were taken. It seems that concierge passangers get to make their reservations earlier. I don't know if castaway members get that perk either but just be prepared that even if you're first in line, you will not have your pick of reservation times.
