hair braiding at WDW

Not sure which forum to ask these questions, but figured this was the best...my teenage DD (13) wants to get her hair braided when we're at DisneyWorld in February (BTW, not a hair wrap, actual braiding)...Can anyone tell me where she can get it done?...How much it costs?....and how long does it take?

We had it done at the Grand Floridian. There is a salon on the second floor that does the front only for $45 plus tip. I think the full head is $100? We had the front only done by Carmen - it came out beautiful and tight and the girls said it didn't hurt a bit. It took about 20 minutes per girl. We just walked in and she had time but you might want to call to make an appt.
I think there are other resorts with beauty salons that will do it as well, you just have to call and ask. We were happy with GF as it was a short ride from MK on the monorail.

Yeah I had the front done only as well, I was staying at the Grand Floridian and I called down and made an appointment luckily they fit it in, and I got it done in 15 minutes! It looked awesome and last the whole trip (10 days)!

I wanted to get my hair braided the last time we were at WDW, but ended up not getting it done. We asked a cast member about it, and there are only two places on property that do it- the Grand Floridian salon, and theres another salon, but I can't remember which hotel its at. The cast member suggested making an appointment.

there are probably a lot of places where you can get your hair braided at WDW but last spring, I got my hair braided when I went to Universal Studios. I only got the front part of my hair braided and the cost was around $50.00.

We looked for a hair braiding place (other than the salon) our entire trip. The cast memeber we spoke to told us that they do it in Universal, but Disney feels that it isn't worth it because it takes too long for how much money they can reasonably charge....

I'm going to Disney world in three weeks, and I want to know how long the half-a-head braids stay in. I'm going to be there for three weeks, so if they stay in long that would be great (No blow drying or styling). :thewave: ???

I got mine done but where i got mone done was a wrong thing 2 do. i got my down when i was on the cruise but on there private island. i got half of my head done it it cost like $80 i no that next time get it done somewhere else.
