Hair appliance advice?

Okay, I opened a drawer looking for tops - and found what I thought was a curling iron. It's not. I tried using it and apparently it's a combination blow dryer/curling iron? Has anybody ever had/used one of these?

I had planned to style my dry hair with it, but I guess that's wrong? Do I - what? Wash/wet my hair, let it air-dry to a degree, then curl my hair around the barrel, then turn on the blow dryer part?

ANY help or suggestions - other than 'buy a curling iron' or 'buy a blow dryer' - will be appreciated. Thanks!

You can dampen your hair and use this. A lot of people find them easy to use. You won't know until you try. I'm sure you can use it on dry hair but it may get fuzzy, frizzy or overdried. I'd dampen and go from there.

Thanks! I think I own too much stuff - I'm afraid to open any more drawers I'm washing my hair tonight or tomorrow anyway; I'll try it then, first.
