We're from GA, too, and we love Pop Century! Per DD5's request, for the trip we're planning now (see PTR), we requested the 50's Lady building...fingers crossed! We've stayed "behind Tramp's head," and she wants to try out the other dog building.

I am so excited to read a trip report with lots of drama (and a MIL...we've got one in tow, too!).

Day 1 is started! And let the MIL drama begin!

Alice in Wonderland is such a good movie. And it's quite a good length, so it probably kept Hollie entertained! I love that pic of her like "Quit taking my picture MOM!"

Aw, Hannah is so cute!! I was wondering how she'd do in the car. Glad it went well!

Ahh! I just love driving under the WDW gates!! And pulling up to Pop!! Well, with this update, all the live updates from Jill and MeMom, I am having some major WDW blues!! Especially since we're probably not going to make it there this year.

LOL!! Oh it began alright...lol

It is a great movie!! We would laugh at her because with the headphones on she would talk really loud and say, "OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!" lol
She got tired of my picture taking fast this time!

Aw, thanks girl! She did pretty good. She got really tired about an hour out of Disney but she was fine most of the time.

Okay, now before I get on to the start of day 2. I will say this, it could possibly be one of the funniest things that has happened to me! Oh, don’t laugh yet! Just wait till you hear what happened!

Now, I was looking forward to sleeping a little late this morning. Usually sleeping late to me is like 7:45 or 8 am! Yeah, I know its not really late, but still. When you have a 6 year old who likes to sleep late on school days but not the weekend and then a 6 month old who will wake between 6-7 am, there is not sleeping late!
The sleeping arrangements were this. We had adjoining rooms. MIL was in one room but would take Hannah in there with her every night. Well, that night Hollie was in the bed with Chad and I was in the other bed. I was sleeping oh so good when all of a sudden I sat straight up in the bed!! A little conversation was going through my head. Yes, that’s right! From the day before. While at my parents house, Chad called to ask me if I needed anything out of our bathroom. I told him no, I keep an extra straightener in my suitcase. He said, “Are you sure?” I said I am positive!! Well….one thing I have feared happened. Oh yes, it happened!! I sat up in the bed, looked at the clock and it said 6:35 am!!! I immediately jumped out of the bed and ran to Chad’s side and started shaking him a little. He didn’t budge! I shook him harder and said, “Mayday, mayday, we have a huge emergency!!!” Hollie was still fast asleep! Then I said to him, “Honey, its very important!! I have a huge emergency!” He sat up and was like, “Whats the matter? Is something wrong? Are you okay? What is it?” I think he thought either someone is trying to break in our room or something is wrong with one of us! Now get ready for it……are you ready?

I looked at him and said, “HONEY, MY MAKEUP IS AT HOME…..ON THE DRESSER…….IN GEORGIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I was so mad!!!!!! I usually take my huge train case but MIL said to condense so I put what I would wear in a cute tinkerbell cosmetic bag!!!! I am not joking when I say this, but I felt like someone had just kicked me in the stomach!!! Seriously!!! I don’t go out without makeup! Much less leave it at home in another state!!!!!
I wish I had taken a picture of his face! It was priceless. I went and laid down on the bed for a while but I could not sleep!! After everyone woke up, I told MIL. She said I could use her makeup. But I am way darker than her! No way!!
They all decided to go get breakfast and I was not gonna go anywhere unless it was to an Ulta, Sephora, etc to get makeup! So, Hannah and I stayed in the room while Chad, Hollie, and MIL went to get breakfast. Thank goodness it was our rest day until that afternoon. I did step outside to take a few pics of Hollie outside of our room!

Chad decided to take Hollie to the arcade since she was ready to go somewhere and we weren’t leaving for our Chef Mickey’s ADR till 3:30. We decided we would leave early for our 5:30 ADR so I could find an Ulta (which I googled on my cell!) and get some makeup. I knew they wouldn’t have everything I used since I am a Mary Kay girl. I use their foundation and powder. But, I knew I could get stuff just to use down in Orlando.
While Chad took Hollie to the arcade, and MIL and Hannah took a nap. I put on some of my big sunglasses and went and took a few pictures around the resort.

Coming up, our drive to find makeup and meet Chef Mickey!!!

I totally get the no make up situation but had to laugh a little at the way you woke Chad and told him the emergency! Hope you manage to find something you can wear at Ulta.

I remember reading about your emergency on FB. I knew you had to be freaking out because I know I have never seen you without any make-up on! I would've been the same way. I won't wear make-up when I'm just lounging around, but to go a whole trip without make-up would be bad! Glad you were able to go get some.

oh no! I'd be upset too if I left my makeup behind. 5 years ago I'd have laughed my head off if you told me that, but now I don't leave the house without at least foundation, powder, and mascara. Can't wait to hear what happened next!

I totally feel your pain about the makeup. Usually all I need to wear is concealer and guess what I forgot on our last trip to Disney? Since we didn't have a car or anything I had to suck it up and walk around with bags It was horrible!

ACK!!! That's my biggest nightmare!! I would have totally done the same thing you did! Glad you were able to locate an Ulta, though.

My DH laughs because we usually go to WDW in the summer, when it's a million degrees and your make-up melts off about 30 seconds from your hotel room door. I don't care, I'll still take the time and put on "my face".

OH MY GOSH!!!! You forgot your makeup at HOME???? Don't you HATE that?? Then you have to go spend $$ and time and try and duplicate what you have at home. I guess now you can just put the new make up in the suitcase with your other straightener. I just can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip!
