On Sunday of MLK weekend while in a 2 hour line for Hagrids two girls entered after the pre show. We assumed that they had express pass and wondered if you got to see the pre show with it somehow, so we asked and they didn’t really answer clearly just said they had express pass… afterwards I saw that Hagrids doesn’t have express pass… what do you think they had??

To be more specific, it was probably the Ruby Pass. It’s specifically for Hagrids I think. We got them once and they are very rarely given out from what I heard. You are sent in through the exit. You get on very quickly.

I’m not even sure i remember why we got them. But you definitely appreciate it when you get it!

I do not know the name of it, but it could also be the dissability pass. It allows people that have various issues that would prevent them from going through the regular to get in line at a particular point.

I have used a Ruby Pass for Hagrid’s. You miss the preshow and most of the line. We entered the line in the last room before the loading room. If you’ve done the ride, maybe you remember there is usually a TM standing by an exit/entrance on the side of the room - that’s the Ruby Pass entrance, and I assume where disability pass enters, but not sure as I’ve never used disability access.

I’ve probably been on Hagrid’s 20 times, and have only managed to catch the preshow once. I really wish they’d run it more often, as Arthur Weasley is my son’s favorite character.

Oh wow! I’ve only been there once and felt the preshow really made it better. Also broke up the crazy wait

The preshow makes it so much better, and clarifies the premise of the ride. I mean you can get the gist of it without the preshow, but it’s a much better setup with it.

To be fair, some of the times we rode were during COVID social distancing when UO stopped preshows on other rides, too, like Gringott’s and MIB. And other times we were towards the front of the ropedrop pack, so the preshow would have slowed everything down. But we’ve also waited in hour+ lines there where the preshows would have been a very welcome break.
