Questions for you guys! !i had a reservation at POP for september, but this dining offer was something we couldnt refuse---POP wasnt available, so the choice was as music and as sports--we had both stayed at sports so we chose movies..
If you stayed there, could you tell me about it? is there a certain part to request? Thanks so much!!

The Jazz building is a good choice. The food court is loud and busy. The buildings scream Disney theme and are a great choice for pure Disney magic. The pools are small and lack much umph but are adequate. The transportation is good and I have never really had a problem with the buses. The staff is okay. They could work harder at being a little more friendly and helpful but they are attentive enough. The rooms are somewhat small but not too small. The toilets flush very loud. That is not odd for the budget hotels. Third floor has the least noise it seems from what I hear. All in all it is a good place to stay and I have stayed here twice. I moved to a moderate recently for a stay but would return to ASMu with no problem if budget was a concern. I can answer any direct questions you may have.

We just switched from Pop to Music as well because we extended from 7 nights to 9!!!!!! Pop wasn't available. We have stayed at Movies and liked it - hope all is well at Music

I tried to get movies and that was full..
does anyone know the sections that it is split up into?

thanks!

We've stayed a Music a couple of times and we like it. The last time we were in the buildings closest to the main hall and it was nice. We have also stayed at the farthest buildings and the walk wasn't bad. Although when you are tired it does seem longer. The rooms are like Pop except with different decorating. Bus service wasn't bad either.

WE had room 501 2nd floor Calypso building...(the lime green one) facing the pool..it was great! I think this is a "preferred location" now, but not sure. We were the first building from the food court. The theming is great , tons of lush foliage and palms, lots of lounge chairs at the pool, again, food court is pretty good...we missed it when we have stayed at mod's and deluxes. Bus service was average, but we were there over July 4th in '01, so pre-9/11 and summer crowds. You can walk to the other values from there, but it is a hike. If we were to stay there again, and I would have no problem doing that, I think we would ask for the same location just because I tend to like being near the front desk/store/food court...not to mention laundry was nearby. There are stairs and elevators, oh, and we were a corner room. We have stayed at ASMU, CBR, CR , WL and the Dolphin, and only mousekeeping at ASMU has ever done anything "extra" with kids toys etc. We tip nicely each day as the maids change...I don't know, we really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, bright colors and icons. I think you will have a great time!

I've stayed at all the All Stars now and I have to say that Music was the quietest -less children perhaps? (and that includes the toilet flush! I honestly didn't know what people were talking about when I stayed at ASMu first- the toilet wasn't loud. Then I stayed at ASSp and ASMo and NOW I know what they mean about the toilets. They scared my youngest even when she was near the front door of the resort room and sometimes woke the kids up if it was flushed while they were asleep! Really loud there- but I didn't find mine to be loud at ASMu... maybe just that one toilet wasn't loud? LOL

I love the All Stars.
They can't be beat. I have visited WDW more than a dozen times with the 1st time in 1971. I've stayed at FW, Disney Inn, a few the of Hotels on hotel Blvd., CBR and the towers at the Contemporary. I got see the MK from my balcony at the Contemporary and I'm happy I got to experience it once. I just prefer the All Star Resorts.
The theaming is pure Disney. :earsboy: :earsgirl:
My last 4 visits have been at The All Stars and this fall when we take dd,dsil, and our grandson age 3 we are staying at the All Stars. I thought about AKL and even though we can well afford AKL I just wanted Alex to experience the Disney Magic at the All Stars on his first visit. I can hardly wait. :hourglass
When we pull up to check in and I see those huge icons I know I'm at Disney :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I've stayed at Music and Sports, and I would recommend Music. I just like the theming better, but maybe that's because I'm a musician and I hate sports ;)

If you stay at Music, though, try to avoid being put in Country Fair - it is a *long* way from the food court and bus stops. Some people like Country Fair because they think it's peaceful back there, but to me it was just too far, and also not as attractive as the rest of the resort. I like Jazz, with Broadway as a second choice.

Hi Jen
I will be at the All Star Music from October 3 to the 11th.
I have preferred rooms so I will be in one of the Calypso buildings. They are nearest to the pool and food court. Cya there and have a great time :wizard:
