Okay--well the trip was scheduled for February 5-12..
everyone involved:
me-20 years old
and the family that i babysit for--2 little boys (ages 2.5, 5.5) and their parents.
Stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge for the first 5 nights, and then Royal Pacific (Universal) for the last 2 nights.
Feb 5, Saturday I slept over their kids house and we left for the airport around 430am..the kids were still sleeping, but i was soo excited..our flight was at 7 and we got to orlando a little after 9. We went r ight to check in at AKL and then headed to Magic Kingdom since our room was not ready- The older boy had been to disney when he was 2, b ut it was the little ones first trip...We did alot of the little kid rides and then had dinner in the castle for our first night--that was great..The kids were so excited..we were told that we would most likely not see Cinderella, so the boys were sad, but as we waited for a table, Cinderella walked in..they were soo excited
After that , we just went back to the room since the kids were falling asleep at the table and our room was ready.
Feb 6, Sunday Well, I was starting to realizze that there would b e no sleeping in on this trip...the little one woke me up singing and we headed off to Animal Kingdom for our character breakfast at Restaurantsauras..I got pics with all the characters and was just as excited as the kids..im not a big breakfast person, but the food was pretty good..After that, we just spent the day going around Animal Kingdom...I ended up babysitting that night since it was the super bowl (the whole family was eagles fans..then there was me who was hoping for the pats to win!
) So i took the kids to MK for the fireworks then we just went back to the hotel, and they fell asleep and i watched tom brady win
Feb 7,Monday
Well today we all went to MGM--I couldnt wait to go on TOT again..we basically just walked around and did everything that we wanted to do..It is soooo much fun to see d isney through the kids eyes,,they got so excited about the little things!!!
Feb 8, Tuesday
Today was our EPCOT day..we did Future World during the day, which the kids loved...The older one LOVED test track and mission space and we went on them about 5 times each. In the middle of the dya, we headed to AKL to rest and then headed back for a 6:00 PS at the Coral Reef Restaurant..that was awesome--we were right next to the fish tank--i had never been in there, so it wasreally cool.
Feb 9, Wednesday
Well this was our last nday in disney, so we headed back to MK for the entire day..got there and opening and stayed till closing...long day with the kiuds, but was so fun...we must have been on splash mountain about 5 times..Got a ton of pictures with characters, which was fun..the kids got so excited every time we saw a character..We had lunch at Crystal Palace with all the Pooh characters which was lots of fun...then we stayed for hte extra magic hours and went back to the hotel to sleep since we were switching resorts the next day..
*i LOVED akl--itw as great every morning to go sit on the balcony and watch the animals--the theming of the hotel was great ..i loved walking around
Feb 10, Thursday Today we were switching to Royal Pacific to do Universal studios and islands of adventure..The hotel was nice, but i didnt think it was that great--nothing too exciting..The older boy was sick, so we just layed around the hotel, then when he started feelign better, we did universal studios for awhile...i have only been there 1 time, so i didnt get to do alot of the things..it was fun..i actually liked universal more than i thought i would...the little kids ball fun area was great--i think we must have stayed in there an hour!...
Feb 11, Friday Today we went to islands of adventure, which i was really excited about since i had never been there--we had sooo much fun...i think we stayed there till closing, then ate at the nascar food place, then headed back to the hotel.
feb 12, Saturday definitely did not want to leave--going on vacation with the kids was soo much fun..We went to universal for a few hours before we had to leave, but then we went ot the airport..was a LONG flight and very bumpy, but now im home and have 3 more months to wait..
All in all, it was a great trip--I thought it would be weird with the kids there, but it was so much fun...the kids were skipping down main street singing M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E...we all had fun, and i cant wait to go back..
sorry the report wasnt too interesting--haha..but ill get pics up sometime this week!
