Okay kids....

My misfortune, could be your good fortune. I would rather some of my DIS buddies get a shot at this than someone else.

I just cancelled our 10/24 thru 11/2 week at the Ft. A couple of weeks back, I was diagnosed with an "acoustic neuroma", which is benign growth on the nerve that controls my balance . The doctor said that it had to come out. Originally we thought we could hold off the surgery until 11/6 after we got back, but the neurologist was not available then. Anyway, long story short, I go under the knife on 10/15 and will be out of commission for at least 4 ~ 5 weeks. Not to fear, I have already called reservations and switched my ressie to next year during Halloween.

This all sounds worse than it is, so anyone who needs prime Halloween week, call and make those arrangements!

I have been trying to get something in October. I gave up and got November instead a few days ago. I am sure someone has snatched up your slot, and appreciates it.

Thanks guys for the well wishes.... In a weird kind of way, I am more bummed about not going to the Fort this year than I am about the surgery. This is going to break our 7 year streak of going to WDW during Halloween.

Since I will be out of work for 3 to 4 weeks after the surgery, I will get the chance to hang out here more often....
