Had to cancel DCL

We were booked for a 3 night cruise in August but have had to cancel it (struggling with the school fees at the moment so couldn't justify the expense).

I'm really upset, moreso for the girls than myself. Especially as we'd kept it a surprise until Christmas and then on Christmas Day I did a treasure hunt with DCL bits and bobs as clues :(

I know it's the sensible thing to do and I really shouldn't complain as we still get 3 weeks in Orlando, but I can't help but feel a bit sad.

Thanks anyway to all those who gave me such good advice about DCL - hopefully we'll be able to do it in a few years time instead.

That's such a shame but at least you are still going to Orlando :goodvibes

Sorry to hear that you had to cancel your cruise, though I can totally understand, it costs a lot to cruise with DCL let alone what you end up spending onboard. At least you're still going to be in Orlando, and I'm sure you'll have a fab time anyway :thumbsup2

Shame that you have had to do this, but 3 weeks at WDW will be :thumbsup2

I think that if you look on the bright side you can turn it into a good thing - you will still have 3 weeks in Orlando plus you will still have the excitement of your first DCL cruise to look forward to in the future - plus you will get to plan again! I hope you have a great trip.

I know what you mean about school fees - the end of term seems to come around so quickly

Sarah :grouphug: I know how you feel, I had to cancel mine this year as well and its very dissapointing I know, however you will have a fantastic time on your holidays and there will always be another time to book a cruise.

Happy planning for your time in Orlando :goodvibes

:grouphug: Shame you had to cancel but at least you are still going on holiday and for 3 weeks - thats great. I dont have to worry about school fees yet as DS is only 6 months - but I have it to look forward too!

Sorry to hear about your cruise

try and plan some thing special to do instead of the cruise

enjoy the planning

I know how you feel - I had to cancel mine for this August too. Still, like you I am looking forward to 3 weeks in Orlando anyway!

Sometimes real life is more financially pressing than holidays, but I am sure you will look back and know you have made the right choice :goodvibes
