Hooray for me! :) It actually wasn't too bad. This was my 3rd one and the technician I had was the best one yet. Very friendly and she got me in and out without TOO much pain.

Hopefully I won't have to go again until next year!

Glad everything went well...:D

That's great, Jill. I hope all the ladies on the DIS get theirs this coming year. Hoping for good results for you.

Good for you! This is not something people should be afraid to do!

:D Good for you! I've never had one, not too fond of going to the doctor  I'm 37, so I wasn't sure I even needed to worry about doing that yet???

That is great news. I have yet to have my first one, and have heard ll kinds of stories about them..Glad you had a good experience.

I think it does get easier the more you go. I had my annual one this summer and had a cyst on one side and calcium on the other side, so they called me back for many more views. I don't know if it was because I was nervous about the results, but I hardly noticed any discomfort.

Snow White - you should have a "baseline" between 35 and 40. The baseline is the one they use to compare future x-rays.

I had my first one yesterday. The joys of being 40! ;) It really wasn't that bad. The technician was very nice and it was all over in about 5 minutes!

Glo...I figure I've had two kids, so if I could withstand that, I could handle the mammogram. Really wasn't that big of a deal.

Now....as long as the results come back fine, I'll be happy!:D

JESW...I had mine done early yesterday morning! Maybe we were having them done at the same time!! :smooth:

Glo - I got mine at the Milford hospital at their woman's pavillion. Not sure where you would have to go (depends on who your dr. is) but it wasn't bad! No horror stories here!

My annual mammogram is easy to remember, its in June, which was the month our own dear Sylvia passed away. :( She inspires me and coaches me to go, God rest her soul. :(

I have found the mammogram rather painless, but then again I am neither very large or very small up top. My last technician told me I had the perfect size breasts for mammograms. :teeth: Lucky me, I asked her if I was entitled to a prize or somethin'. :)
