Today went extremely well. I reported to surgery at about five fifteen. I was sent to the night lab for a hcg urine and then shown to my room. Everyone was really nice. I gowned up and waited about twenty minutes. After they got my history and vitals, it was time to go. I waited in the holding area until anesthesiology came and did her thing. She was awesome. She used lidocaine and let me pick out my own vein. It was virtually painless.
My gyn came in and talked to me and answered everything. I was the first case. After a little dose of versed, I was taken to the OR. The last thing I remember was a mask on my face and that's it. When I woke up, I had light cramping, and I threw up one or twice. They gave me zofran which helped immediately. I was taken back to my room. The cramps started getting worse but nothing exruciating. I took a vicodin and was released. Lots of cramping as of now and I'm mostly just exhausted. Still cramping quite a bit, that's okay. I'm going to just take it easy this week. I'm going back to bed now!!
