With all the concern over crowds and refurbs, I just wanted to tell you guys about the fantastic day I just had. Even though we were only there from 9am - 3pm, it was one of the best visits I've had in a long time. The crowds were fairly low and we didn't have any trouble getting around. Here are our highlights:
The rope dropped at 9 and we headed right for Big Thunder. We walked on and then grabbed FP for later.
We walked on Indy and Pirates, and then rode Big Thunder again.
Got FP for Space Mountain and then walked on Star Tours, Astro Blasters, Snow White, and Pinocchio. We had a little more time to kill so we wandered into The Village Haus. I'd never been in there before and was so happy to find yet another CHARMING and quiet restaurant. I'll be going back there again for sure.
After Space Mountain we headed to Main Street and had lunch at Carnation Cafe. No wait at 12:00.
We walked on to The Haunted Mansion and did a little browsing in New Orleans Square.
We decided to head over to California Adventure and got into the single rider line for RSR. 15 minute wait. I think that was our longest wait of the day.
My wish list is growing too. I really like the Dooney and Bourke Star Wars bags, the melamine plates and glassware with retro designs of all the lands, the hitch hiking ghosts action figures, and the new Starbucks mugs. I'm thinking about going back next week.
