Hello Dis Friends! :goodvibes I found a thread awhile back here on the Dis (not sure what board, but thinking this) where someone was wanting to do a bathroom remodel. It was a great thread and I "saved" it inside my "Dis folder". Well... my computer bit the dust, nothing was salvageable. :sad2: People had replied to the OP with pictures or their remodels and one post in particular had a picture of an amazing shower... neutral colors, tiled, very large, no doors, my "dream shower". :) Well, we need to replace our tub, and as it has became such a hardship for me to climb in and out, not to mention a safety issue... we decided to remove the tub and replace the entire area (and perhaps extend it out some as well) with a shower. Does anyone have a larger HA shower and if so... would you be willing to share pictures? We don't have a surplus of money so DH will do a lot of the work himself (we will pay for the tiling to be done). Like I said it was a dream (although it was a needed one but we were trying to make do) however with the exisitng tub/shower enclosure having to be replaced, we figure we might as well do it all at once! I have tried to describe what I want to DH but really need visuals (and demensions if you would have those handy by chance)! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for (hopefully) posting pictures/respnses! :goodvibes

Old bloodhound here found the thread you were looking for.

Post 6 was full of nice pictures. I can dream, sigh.

You are SO AWESOME! :goodvibes

I searched and searched and searched... using all kinds of terms, and found nothing.

Thank you so much! :flower3:

I cannot wait to show this to DH! I know that it will take some "professional planning" to get the layout (and tile owrk) but hopefully DH can help/do some and keep the cost down!

Actually it is not that hard. It just takes planning. It is not much different from any other bathroom except the counter would have to be raised for a wheel chair. The shower door that swings both ways probably would be easy to find and if not maybe rigged with piano hinges. Doorways made wider. My father did our bathroom including a false wall to hide the shower pipes, tiles, flooring, and sink with a cabinet. Piece of cake for him, lol, but he was trained in many home making arts.
