H&V or Mama Melrose FDP???

Can't decide between MM of H&V --can you help me?? I was thinking H&V because I thought it might be faster to just help ourselves to the food and get in and out back to the rides etc., but now I am thinking that Mama Melroses sounds good and we might need a nice dinner break. How is the food at each place and if we do eat at Mama Melroses is there a set or limited menu or is it the regular menu choices?? Thanks for any suggestions/ info!!!

We're a family of 4 (2 kids under 6) and it was good for us. Buffets mean "fast food" to the table....and w/ kids, that's imp't. The food was fresh, well displayed and everything was yummy and enjoyable. Not much atmosphere....but the meal was fine. That being said, next time around we're trying Mama Melrose to see what it's like. Hope some other Dis'ers chime in to answer your question too.

Just ate at Mama Melrose's and we thought the food was outstanding, the service great and it was in time for us to run over to see Fantasmic!! It is on the other side of MGM however. Haven't been to H&V yet.

Can anyone who has done MM lately tell me if you could choose any appeizer/ entree/ dessert or if it was a set/ limited menu?? Thanks

We did MM with the FDP on Aug. 30th, and it included your choice of flatbread and a family salad to share, along with choice of entree and a dessert for each person in your party. It also came with bread and a killer dipping mixture of olive oil, herbs and sundried tomatoes.

It was plenty of food, and was one our family's favorite meals during our stay at WDW.

Lasy year we went with Hollywood and Vina and just expecting another typical buffet. We really enjoyed ourselves here, had a great server, and there seemed to be a very good selection
