We just bought the Federal and State deluxe for $34.99 at Office Depot (it has a $15 rebate). The Federal only Deluxe was 14.99 after rebates.

My understanding is that when you purchase the software you still need to pay to file. Am I mistaken? So as I understand it, you're paying for the software & paying to file. I use the online software & then just pay the fees to file.

Oh, thanks. I don't use H&R Block since they haven't been accurate for me but that's good to know. Turbo Tax & Tax Act have been accurate in our situation.

I didn't think it included the free efile because the one I downloaded last year had efile in the title description. Now I'm kicking myself...
