one of the teachers that's comes into where i work wants to buy it for his wife. and i told him i'd find him the best price. he asked how? and i told him i had a bunch of friends that would find it for me!

Earlier when ZTH posted that she'd seen a Michaels ad where it was $219, I thought it was really bad that I worked at Michaels and didn't know that. Then, you post this $199 at M's and I think I'm losing my mind because I know our ad said $249. Well, apparently not everyone has the same sale prices. I just looked up the ad for my store and then for a store up where y'all are and they are different! My store is selling the Gypsy for $249 not $199 like yours. I feel much better now since I thought I was a terrible employee for not knowing that!!!!

If Mr. PO3 got it in Massachusetts, he can go back with his receipt within 14 days and get it price adjusted. That's one of the consumer protection laws. I knew they had different prices for different areas, didn't know there was that much of a spread though!

Our local Michaels is selling it for $249 also. I was so disappointed.

I got the gypsy for Christmas but it didn't work so I brought it back to Michaels today, it was on sale for $199.99 plus tax. I got back a $100.00 store credit because hubby paid full price (silly man LOL)
WIth my store credit I picked up a cricut cart (Old West) on sale.
I could have gotten another cart with my $100.00 but I either had the carts they sold or I didn't like what they had so I bought about $100.00 worth of great stuff on sale but only spent $100.00.

I just turned on my new Gypsy tonight and I'm confused. There seems to be a lot of cartridges already on it. Am I supposed to have all of these, or am I not understanding how this all works. It looks like about 20 carts or so. Do they all come with carts already downloaded?

No, you have to have the cartridges to cut, but you can design with any of the cartridges in the "library." It's like Design Studio that way.
