Gymboree clothes question, what am I doing wrong?

I'm so glad you posted this. My problem is with all dd's clothes. She gets so dirty...the entire seat and knees of her pants....plus the usual stains.

I am having a hard time getting them out. I've tried the oxy-clean pretreating by mixing and scrubbing, the stain stick and shout, rubbing the tide right on the items. I have a front loader so can't soak overnight.

How do you tell if you have hard water? Maybe that is the problem.

My dd is now 6, we have lived in 3 homes since her birth. I agree that while Gymboree clothes are cute, they stain like crazy, regardless of your water, machine, etc. I've tried everything to get the stains out with no luck. Stain stick, soaking, etc.

For me, it's not worth the hassle. I do still buy Gymboree clothes on clearance and with gymbucks (Again, only buy everything on clearance). So, I don't feel so bad if they stain.

I prefer old navy, children's place, nordstrom, and von maur.

It could be your front loader! (gasp!) If you have an option, put it on the most water, water gets out stains.........less water=more stains!

If you have well water it is most likely hard. But my parents had theirs tested and it was more pure than most city water. It just depends on the well and your location.
Have you tried th oxyclean spray baby formula. I swear that is the best stuff out there. Also I have heard to try pure peroxide as well.

I never really thought about it, but my twin boys shirts from Gymboree have stains as well! I have always bought Gymboree clothes for my girls as well and now that I think about it they stain more than the Gap or Old Navy clothes.

I just threw away a shirt that was worn once and it was only dirt on it from the playground. Hmmm I may have to rethink where I shop.

Why can't I get simple stains out of the clothes? dirt wont even come off?? I use tide, I hang them to dry.. but even simple stuff that kids get on them wont come off! I can get stains out of old navy, gap, oshkosh, carters but not the gymboree stuff which is probably the most expensive out of all of it?? Am I the only one? :confused3

I put the spray and wash stain stick on them asap and then leave it for a few days then wash it in cold water and no drying in dryer. Then if it doesn't come out I repeat the process. I can get anything out this way on Gymborees and Hanna Anderssons. Sometimes it is a week of it sitting in the hamper with the stain stick, though. One other trick for grease stains is I put dawn dish detergent on the stain. The Dawn tip works even if they have been through the dryer.
