Gym in The Wilderness Lodge

Does anyone know if we (campers)are allowed to use the gym at the Wilderness Lodge. Im thinking the answer is probably no but thought I'd asked. Or does anyone know of a gym that is close by that I can go to that charges daily? I have recently within the past year really dedicated myself to losing weight and eating better and don't want to go without at least a plan. I have lost a substacial amount of weight and although its probably inevitable,

Jack Rabbit - do you run at all? There is a trail, I believe 2 miles, in the campground that you can run on. That's one fitness option and it's free.

I used the gym several times in January. The only thing they check was your 'room key'. If you have earbuds you can use them. All the treadmills have tv on them.

Thanks everybody! Loislane-I'm starting to jog in intervals. I also quit smoking a couple months ago so its still kind of hard to catch my breath. I think I will probably use the trail everyday and the gym a couple times while I'm there.

We stayed at the Fort this last weekend and I used the gym on Saturday. The young lady just looked at my room key and said, "Ok. You're good." I assume it's available to Fort guests also. Maybe there's a number sequence on the card identifying you from other resorts.

I am thrilled to have stumbled across this. We're staying in a cabin for the first time next month and I've been concerned about not being able to workout at Sturdy Branches, my favorite gym. I am so relieved to know that I can use it.

For those who have recently stayed at FW and used SB, did your KTTW card work in the door to unlock it?

I'm a little amazed that anyone could go to WDW and have enough energy left to require a gym workout. With a ll the attractions at the parks and at the FOrt, there should be plenty to use up an average person's energy.

Reposting in hopes someone has an answer:

For those who have recently stayed at FW and used the Sturdy Branches gym, did your KTTW card work in the VWL/Sturdy Branches door to unlock it? When I stay at WL, I'm usually there prior to 0630 when the CM gets there so I have to use my KTTW card to get in. I don't know if the door is unlocked after the CM gets there. If so, I would just go later, but I'd like to know if a FW KTTW card would work in the VWL/Sturdy Branches door.

Yes, it's unlocked. Just open the door, and show your card to the desk on the left.

Thanks so much. I am one happy camper! We stayed there 3 times in a one year period '11-'12 and I go there almost daily so they'll probably think I'm staying there anyway
