GV booking strategy advice needed

I will be looking to book a GV (and likely a studio or 1 bdrm) at a non-home resort - so at the 7 month window - for Sept 2022. Any strategies or advice that will give me the best shot at success? Hoping for BLT or SSR, maybe even OKW...if the specific resort makes a difference.

Book your home resort first at 11 months out and then see what is left at seven months out. Or at least a studio and two bedroom (to give you the same sleeping spaces as the GV).

I just booked a GV at OKW for end of August /beginning of September about a week and a half ago. SSR was also available. BLT had limited availability.
