football is the name for as most americans say "soccer". it is called football, or futbol by many nations. american football is completely different.

The English used the word 'soccer' as their official term for the proffesional game before we did. Soccer is correct.

Soccer: USA, Canada, Australia + some others
Everywhere else: football because they couldn't come up with some better game to call football

Well it's obvious why soccer is called football (though incorrectly) in other nations. It probably has something to do with the fact that practically the whole game is played with the feet. If you look at the nations that call the game soccer, however (and you can add parts of Ireland in the list, too), have all came up with another game that they gave the name 'football'.

American Football
Canadian Football
Australian Football
Gaelic Football

So one can assume that if a nation invents a new game that somewhat resembles those Footballs then they would no longer refer to soccer as football but the new sport as such. England seems to be the only acception to this rule, with their rugby and all. My guess: the English just want to be jerks and don't go by my rule of naming sports.

oh my gosh curling is NOT i repeat NOT A SPORT!!!!!! its the freaks that like to clean to much so they tried to make it a sport and failed mesrebly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Curling is really hard. I did a Jacob Mann on the ice when I tried to play. It's really fun, though!

how can it be hard i mean ive never tried it but i jsut dont get how it can be hard and uhmmmmm did u see the picture that the maker of that video had as his avatar? xD

p.s. yes it does hurt!

p.p.s. curling is a sport where people brush ice with brooms to get balls to roll to a certian spot i think is the gest of it anyway

Your walking on slippery ice with slippery shoes. It's very hard. Maybe because I suck at normal ice skating, but it takes some practice. Now the stone throwing part I'm pretty good at, but the brushing part... I suck.
