Guys, no crying? Ever?

IMO men, are only human. There is no reason why they shouldn't be able to show emotions for whatever reason. I am not saying they should constantly cry but there are times when crying can help. I didn't think my dad was less of a man when I saw him crying at my grandpa's funeral. I've been to many weddings where the father of the bride had tears in his eyes or the groom had tears in his eyes. I see nothing wrong with that. :confused3

Oh, I agree. I would venture to guess most men cry over emotional things, but it seems that since childhood, most of us (both men and women) don't cry about physical pain anymore.

I stand to be corrected. yes, I missed the whole idea behind the entire post and didn't think about it until after I posted my reply. Although as some might of mentioned it isn't uncommon for my eyes to fill up with tears when I am in severe pain. I don't actually cry but for only a second or two.

I agree with Micheyboat. I'm not a guy and I can't recall crying over physical pain as an adult. Okay, sometimes I pretend to cry if someone hurt me and I don't think they're acting sorry enough, but that's because I'm evil.

One of the only times I ever saw my dad cry was when he was dropping me off at the church on the day of my wedding.

I said "Geez...relax. It's not like I'm going off to war or anything!"

I was young at the time.

Well, I'm not a guy, but I honestly don't remember the last time I cried over physical pain. That includes childbirth. I don't know why, but pain doesn't make me cry.

I think we lose that instinct as adults. Probably have it as children because we lacked the ability to communicate but as we develop better communication skills it becomes less necessary. I know some folks that can communicate the fact they are in pain rather well, and loudly to boot! LOL

True. Now when I'm in severe physical pain, I scream obscenities at the top of my lungs instead. :rolleyes1

I think the last time I had tears come to my eyes because of pain was when I was 13 or 14. I had a tooth that broke half off, and the nerve was exposed. The dentist had to literally drill, spray, move, etc... the open nerve. I don't think that I was actually crying, but there were quite a few tears that saw the light of day. I can honestly say that that's the most pain I've ever experienced at one time in my life.
