Guy trouble

hey so i haven't been on here in a while but somethings have been bugging me about the guy i like and i know i can count on disers for advice and support. So me and this kid are really close but lately he's been talking about how he's "in love" with this other girl. i'm not really worried about them being a couple cuz shes 5 years older than him but still urgh any advice? It just doesn't seem like i exist anymore ya know?

Well in my opinion i think this is just a passing infactuation (sp?) for this guy. I mean does he actually talk to her and spend a lot of time with this other girl?? If you and him talk a lot and are actually close then I don't think you have to worry about him getting too involved with this other girl.
Guys are easily distracted

That's all it is. How the heck can he be "in love" with a girl who's potentially at college, while he's a freshman or sophomore in HS? It's a term that's thrown around like it's no big deal. When he says that, he probably just feels a physical attraction [thinks she's hot] to her, but nothing more. And if she's leading him on, then you better warn him. Me and my friends refer to it as the "tease factor." One of my friend's has an amazing body. Six pack, ripped arms and shoulders and all the girls love his body. But, they all tell him stuff and he doesn't take it with much because he knows he has no chance with him. Your friend just seems pretty immature to me.
