Gustav's?

Havent visited since 2009 but am pllanning our 2012 trip. At least reading, I had heard of a Disney villain character meal called Gustav's in the B&B area of the new Fantasyland. Was this idea scrapped?

There is a CS restaurant in the works called Gaston's Tavern. But being a CS place, there aren't any characters. And there's no set date for opening, just a vague "late 2012". HTH!!

Yeah I seen that one. I also read about a TS restaurant called Be Our Guest, but seen no mention of characters. Its been a few years but I do remember reading on a restaurant called Gustav's but everything was in the early planning stages back then. I can't find any info on it now in Google so I guess the restaurant never came in to play.

I was REALLY looking forward to a Disney Villains Character meal.

I can't think of who "Gustav" would be. Gaston is a villian in Beauty & the Beast so maybe you misread? I haven't heard anything about a villian meal, though it sounds neat I'm not sure how many little kids would be excited to do it.

I very well could have misread. DisneyWiki had this to say on Gustav:

Gustav the Giant is the main villain of the Mickey Mouse short Brave Little Tailor. The Giant constantly terrorized the kingdom, unopposed. When Mickey Mouse, the Brave Little Tailor was ordered to slay the Giant by the King (Minnie Mouse's father), who thought he killed seven giants in one blow (flies, actually), Mickey used his tailoring skills to defeat the giant. The giant was last seen sleeping, his breath powering the Merry-Go-Round, which Mickey and Minnie were riding.

I have never heard of Gustav either, which is why I say I may have misread it back then.

How about this I found

In the Beast’s Castle will be the new “Be our Guest Restaurant” The eatery will seat up to 550 guests and will be counter-service during the day, but will “Magically” turn into a table-service restaurant by night. The Castle will be situated on a hill, and guests can stroll outside and be immersed in Belle’s village, which will have Gaston’s Tavern and the Bonjour gift shop.

It looks like Gaston's tavern is just a CS, don't be looking for a character meal and please don't start rumors of a Villain meal.

I would also love to see a Disney Villain character meal.....Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters aren't baaad enough for me!

Since when is asking a question starting a rumor? I had already searched and found what you posted and I also said that I could have misread because it has been a few years. But for you to accuse me of starting a rumor just because I asked a question just baffles me.

It's just seems like there is a lot of pent up demand for a villain meal and any mention of one starts a frenzy of what characters there will be etc.
